Android devices with Google Play services may be protected by QuadRooter exploits

Google has confirmed that its 'Verify Apps' security feature which is included on all devices with Google Play Services and running on Android 4.2 or higher may be protected from malicious apps which may ty to exploit the QuadRooter vulnerabilities found in devices running on Qualcomm processors.

I don't understand the upvotes :x I thought most people on here would have the "only install from play" disabled.
They probably are, but I would assume the many regulars are at least somewhat careful, and only install from trusted sources, things like Apkmirror or F-droid.

And not just installing whatever pirated apps from anywhere. That's often how users do get into trouble, apps that have been hacked with malicious payloads, root exploits and trojans, especially from China. :thumbsupdroid:
