Help Android and bluetooth not connecting

I'm working on a project using an Arduino to send data to an Android app via a Bluetooth module. Arduino is sending the data confirmed by using Tera Term on my pc to see the data. Android is paired with the Arduino Bluetooth module but will not connect to it. I am using TouchDRO app, and Blue term app on the Android.
Android is AOSD tablet running v 4.4.2.
How do I troubleshoot this problem?
Both Android apps see the Arduino Bluetooth device but will not connect. Could it be something like the Android Bluetooth antenna is disconnected or broken?

Wouldn't have thought it was an antenna or hardware problem like that, Like if it was, the BT wouldn't be able to see and connect to anything. So I presume it's something with the software, What it is, have no idea. I've only ever used BT headsets and speakers.
