Help Nexus 6P not updated to Nougat

I have a Nexus 6P. I still have not been updated to Android Nougat. Does anybody know why not?

Welcome to AF, Richard :).

I'm guessing and sure they're still pushing the updates out in incremental batches...

There was indeed a long delay which Huawei worked on an issue that affected our 6P devices, but appears to have been resolved.

Funny enough, I just checked my phone and I see that received a 21MB update that says it will "...prepare for Android 7.0...", but I'm guessing it's still just a security update...(I'm installing that update right now).

My device checks at least once a day for the update (I've been checking to see when it was checking), so I'm sure we'll see 7.0 sooner than later.

If you really want to, you can sideload it or flash the factory image--when those were finally made available last week, that was our indication that Huawei and Google felt it was ready for widespread distribution.

Cheers!

Follow-up: yep, that 21MB OTA was just a security (September 6, 2016) update...I'm still 6.0.1...

Oh, but I just now see that I have a 1174.7 MB download for 7.0...it showed-up right after reboot...downloading now :).

So Richard, if you see the Sept. 6th update, I'm sure the 7.0 upgrade will follow right afterwards.

Thanks for the help. I have not yet seen the security update, but I will keep looking
