Your Galaxy Note7 is an affected device and is subject to this recall. It is extremely important to stop using your device, power it down immediately and contact your carrier or retail outlet to exchange it.
The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on Wednesday issued a safety warning against the use of the Galaxy Note7 phones on board and said it will ban the use and charge of Korean tech giant’s smartphone on flights.
There's very likely people with devices bought outside of China of course.
Can't see that makes much difference actually here, because I know under CAAC rules all phones are banned from use and charging on domestic flights in China, it's been like that for the last two years. And the use of power-banks for charging devices is banned as well. If you have a phone, it must be turned off, that's it, until the engines stop. And they announce that on every flight in China, together with the safety announcements, along with not tampering with smoke detectors, etc.
Although at the moment, I'm not planning to fly domestically any more this year.
Laptops and tablets are allowed though, as long as they're in airplane mode.
