This is for everyone to share their wisdom, experiences, or random wisps of mental jetsam (or flotsam, for that matter). The only rule is to present only one tidbit of your cerebral floss ONCE a day. What you offer others can be real, can be humorous, or can even be surreal! It can be 2 words or 2,000 words. All it has to be is whatever is running about your brain that you think others should contemplate for the remainder of their day. I believe a good mix should include humor, reflection, wisdom, and absolutely random bits that may only be something that flitted through your brain for mere moments.
With that, I will start:

We all have those quite powerful and extremely rare moments in life where we are struck with incredible awe ... sometimes certain feelings that are so profound like no other makes some of us wonder in a deep and special manner :)

I wanted to make a most probably unusual thread that I hope will be pretty special in a way when you have those rare moments in life that briefly take your breathe away!

So! This is my special thought for the day! :)

I was walking on my way to my car yesterday at the shops and long ago (about 7 years ago it was almost an entire decade ago if I recall correctly I am amazed I remembered so long ago!) I met what we call a "bergie" (berg = mountain the "tjie" part means small or diminutive so basically a hobo it translates to) basically it means homeless person and we used to chat once or twice years and years ago when I was still in University.

Fast forward to 7 years today and he was amazed I remembered his name and how I helped give him a bit of my food.

I asked him how he was doing and he smiled and just said he is doing very well. So I asked him (with a slightly stern but semi joking manner) if he was in the 26's, 27's and 28's (please note these are the infamous "numbers gangs" that are scary and one of the worst gangs in the whole world they are extremely scary people. The 27's love killing people that is their "claim to fame").

He laughed and said no he never hangs out with those kinds of bad people but he told me he had his own business now.

I also jokingly asked him if I am still a c*nt (he called me this in Afrikaans when I refused to give him money but offered food instead) because he muttered it under his breathe ever so slightly back then.

Because I could smell alcohol under his breathe lol so I refused to give him a cent ;)

He then told me he now has his own business (his current appearance was outstanding compared to what I previously remembered it was a shocker!) and I saw him getting into his own car!

I was really impressed and I told him well done on over comping your drinking and other problems and gave him a good strong hand shake.

It was just one of hose rare moments in life that are kind of special because you see someone in destress you give them a bit of a helping hand and you see them in a much different light later down the road :)

So I thought I would make a very special thread with some deep and profound thoughts / moments and / or memories or anything very interesting and deep and profound! :)

Interesting world ;)

Why worry?

There are only two things to worry about, either you are healthy or you are sick. If you are healthy, then there is nothing to worry about. But if you are sick there are only two things to worry about, either you will get well or you will die. If you get well, then there is nothing to worry about. But if you die there are only two things to worry about, either you will go to heaven or to hell. If you go to heaven, then there is nothing to worry about. And if you to go hell, you'll be so darn busy shaking hands with your friends you won't have time to worry!

Psalm 40:4 Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.

Put your trust only in the Lord as mankind is false and filled with betrayal.

I want to try and get back into reading my bible even though my brain says it seems completely impossible as it did not give everyone equal opportunities but I wonder if it is the only thing that I shouldn't be reading and trying hard to comprehend, I believe it is one of the most important things if not the most important thing I should be doing.

Maybe trusting in the Lord is the only thing that can help make sense of this crazy world.

If you could drive your car at the speed of light and you turned on your headlights....... what would happen?

According to several theories that as matter approaches the speed of light, it increases in mass and slows time relative to the rest of the universe, so if your wife was with you she would probably ask if this light made her mass look big ... ;)

(BTW, the answer is always "NO" :D)
