have you rebooted the phone? try clearing cache for the video appas well. are you using the stock app or 3rd party app to record videos?

I just rebooted this morning in that seems to me when it happened. It's just the default Stock app at the bottom of the screen. Is there not a setting somewhere?

is it a random sound being produced? there really is no sound effect in the video settings, so i'm not sure what you are talking about.

Well that's interesting I recorded something again and now there's no sound effect at all. Maybe it was something coincidentally that sounded off at the same moment that I hit the stop record button.
