This is the first forum that I have ever joined...
woot! I am so excited about the new Droid coming out and I plan to be @ my local Verizon 6am sharp on Friday! I work as a federal law enforcement officer and travel constantly. As a matter of fact next week I am traveling to Asia for two weeks so I will be putting this bad boy through its paces (music, movies, Skype...I just hate there is no GSM). I have recently been disappointed though with the camera reviews of the Droid and I am hoping that it will be ok as I do not have the option for carrying around the Mr. T electronics starter kit with me at all times...hence the all in one features! 
I have thought about the OTHER phone for years, but what use is a phone when the signal does not even work in your local city? Nonetheless, I will let everyone know how this thing holds up as I am not the most gentle with electronics...I don't really have the option.
Quick side question...does anyone know the availability numbers on these things? I have not heard much about backorders expected and my local Verizon store rep. said I should have no problems getting this thing if I show up at 6a on Friday. Anyone heard of any projected campers to get this thing? Just curious.
