Good Morning Guys,

I have found out now that 3 has the Hero at last so Tomorrow I will
be off to the 3 shop to try and haggle a good upgrade other than that
reading on another thread I may pop into an Orange shop as a couple
of others on here seem to have got Cracking deals.
Anyway my (Latest) question for you and I hope you don't mind replying
is, what Apps in your Considered Experience Suck the Life Blood out of your Battery and should be avoided like the Plague if possible if you want descent battery life and what alternatives are there out there which hopefully do the same job but better battery consumption if possible?
I do Like to read what you have to say and if I can learn and hopefully a few others as well then surely these silly questions may have been worth asking
in the first place. :)
Oh well time to get ready for the Sardine Race.
Have a Good day All.

Peace,
Andrew.

For improved performance/battery I use:

Timeriffic, I find locale too bloated to be useful.

Autostarts, blocks specified apps at startup.

Y5 battery saver, turns WiFi on and off depending on location.

Cachemate, clears all data caches (browser, maps etc) with single press. Rooted phones only.

The main battery killer is your screen. The first week or two your battery usage will be horrid, purely due to playing with it more.

After replacing default messaging app with HandCent, I realized that under certain conditions my awake time went again out of control.

Everything is ok after boot, but it seems that as soon as I use Astrid, the phone awake percentage keeps increasing unless I actively kill the application.

Investigating a bit, I discovered that some hours ago another user reported a very similar situation on Astrid
