Well me EVO is on its way. So i dont know if mine will have this issue or not at this point.
However, what is the worst this can realistically do? Are we talking about the screen lifting the tiniest amount and maybe getting some dust in their? Or has someone had a screen that just fell right off? Does this movement of the screen change the touch sensitivity or performance of the phone in any way? I am not arguing i am really asking. I am trying to figure out if this is something that will cause product failure down the road. If dust is the biggest fear wouldnt a case like innocase or body glove keep the dust out? Also cant we just have our phones fixed in like 6 months if we have dust because of this? Sure we shouldnt have to and no one wants to. But dont we have that option. Also doesnt the evo plan make us all eligible for an upgrade in a year? I dont know if i could ever be happy keeping a phone for 2 years anyway.
Thanks guys. This issue does suck for those with rising screens. Who knows in 2 days i may be in that group also.
For me the issue is the possible dust intrusion, and the fact that I feel that I bought a subpar phone.
I just don't like spending my money and finding out it has issue as soon as I take it out of the box.
I do believe the best case for dust issues would be some kind of gel type case, as far as the other concerns, only time will tell.
I sure as shit hope the screen does not fall out
