Root [ROM STABLE] Bugless Beast V0.3 Android 2.2

I no longer use TiBu, switched to Mybackup Pro, mainly just to try it out, and all my market links work after restoring with it on this ROM.

MyBackup Pro is great for restoring data. It does a much more thorough job than Titanium Backup, in my opinion, for restoring things like text messages, MMS and that sort of thing. It will restore apps too, but Titanium Backup does a better job filling in the gaps with *missing apps*. I use both for this reason, and also because Titanium Backup reconstructs all my home screens and puts all my apps back in place (except for widgets). This saves me an enormous amount of time!

Wait, so some people have actually had luck with the Market automatically restoring their apps? I wasn't able to do that with BB 0.1 or 0.3 (with NexTheme and xTheme, respectively), but I was able to do it with NexBeast. I was under the impression that when Pete disabled/bypassed the phone set-up, it did away with the market restoration. Am I missing something?

Since Pete bypasses activation, you don't have the option to restore apps from the Market.

I sucked it up and donated, got the full license for Titanium Backup. Basically, it backed up all of my apps and data, and when I installed bugless, I downloaded Titanium, and then restored everything. I had to clear Market data and reboot, but all of my apps showed up.

Just flashed this morning, the toolkit app is really great. I hope it is updated often, excellent addition. Stock launcher is running great, haven't bothered install adw yet (I might not). Chevy's low voltage 1ghz is working fine. Jakes 1 and 1.2 ghz wouldn't boot and Chevys ulv 1ghz wouldn't either.

Looks like xtheme, nextheme, and drop work with this ROM. Any confirmation of other themes working?

I already have the full license for Titanium Backup; however, there were a handful of apps (Calorie Counter, Quadrant, BatteryLife, and a couple of others) that would not re-install and any attempt to restore with Titanium, either in batch or singly, caused my phone to reboot. However, I was able to find them in the market and install them that way - it was more simple curiosity because it sounds like some people in this thread were able to utilize the market auto-backup/restore for their apps. Is there any way to disable the set-up bypass for future reference if I need to re-flash for some reason?

And count me among the Swype users using the official beta who had to uninstall and re-install after upgrading to BB 0.3 with xTheme.

After installing this ROM on 2 different droids, it seems this wont let me charge my phone. Unless I need to script something, i wont be using this ROM.

Are you sure it isn't charging, because some themes change the battery icon so that it doesn't indicate when it is charging.

Plug the phone into the charger and turn the screen off, then turn the screen on. Does the lock screen indicate that the phone is charging???

The lock screen doesn't indicate it nor does the indicator light on the side turn on. I just flashed my recovery and the light came on and started charging. I'm gonna go back to NexBeast because I didn't have any issues which is weird to me.

Same issue with market. Restored using Ti-backup, and everything seems to restore, but none of my apps show up in market, and it is slooooow.

If after restoring w/Ti-Backup your apps don't show in market, download/install any free app from the market...after the install completes all of your apps should then show up. Works for me every time this issue comes up.

I just did an update of several apps in the Market with no problem, using Fab's NexTheme for 0.2.1.

I was able to the next day, as well. W/ all the Market craziness the last couple weeks, I'm wondering if it was temporarily down or something.

One thing I have noticed is random reboots. Not very often, but it's happened a few times, most notably while surfing the net. Along those lines, I've had issues w/ my net closing on it's own for quite some time now (since before Froyo. Not ever page does it, but some seem more prone to it than others (Droid Forums is def bad for it). It's happened on diff web browsers, as well.
