Well its great to see Sprint came through after all. I had to check my calendar and make sure it wasnt April 1st. LOL

Did you do a hard reset afterwards? I am installing now. It took FOREVER to download.

I want in on the fun...

I don't mind losing root temporarily while the guys bang it out...

is there anything in this update that would make me want to do this other than 4g?

woohoo it finished installing...
and then it restarted...
and then it came to life (still the ugly ass sprint 4g intro)..
waiting waiting waiting...
tick tock tick tock..
approaching 30 seconds...
45 seconds..
going to grab a snack...
maybe a coffee too...
might go deuce the toilet too...
wiping...
zipping up...
GOAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!...
there's a white screen with green HTC logo..
now a percentage counter...
ah jeez more waiting....
zzzZzzzzzzz...
almost 30 seconds for 15%...
darn screen keeps timing out so i have to fondle it...
WOOOHOOO!!!
hey lookie swype is still my default keyboard no force close...
ooh it's quick..

No hard reset. Haven't needed to. Everything I have checked is working amazingly.

I tried to manually update from the previous version of 2.2 to this new version, but the installation stopped because the version wasn't correct.

Just wanted to save some people some time in case they try doing it!

Getting it in Chicago. I don't understand how this thread ever even took off. Haven't we said a thousand times over that Sprint reps aren't trust worthy for this type of information?

Don't think we're missing much...probably several days for HTC to get it out. I would love to know what, if anything, the official has that the unofficial doesn't though.

I started roughly at 5:30 (it's 6:00 now) and I'm still seeing the 4g white screen flash off and on.

Whoops, here comes my stuff. Yippee!!! About 35 mins total over 3g.
