I just called and talked to an exceptionally helpful and friendly rep.

I was told that my phone is in transit and given a tracking number, which checks out.

"Date/Time Activity Location Details
Aug 9, 2010 6:20 AM Left FedEx origin facility ONTARIO, CA
Aug 9, 2010 6:00 AM Picked up ONTARIO, CA
Aug 9, 2010 4:07 AM Shipment information sent to FedEx"

Why they're shipping from Canada is beyond me, but I do know that they're hauling ass if they're getting it to Colorado by tomorrow.

Thats Ontario, California.

Gahhh still nothing for me. I was hoping that rep who said it would probably ship today or tomorrow was right because I'm leaving late Wednesday afternoon to go to a funeral and it would have been nice to have it to mess with for my seven hour trip. All I can get representatives to tell me now is that it'll ship by the 19th, so I think maybe they're cracking down on reps giving earlier projections. One representative, however, said she was going to check for me when she gets in tomorrow and before she leaves and send me a text message with the tracking number if there is one.

Just wondering but what number are you guys all calling to be able to get this information from the reps. When I called *611 all anyone would tell me is that it would be shipped out by the 19th for me and I couldn't get any more information out of them other than that.

I ordered mine 7/30 at 3pm. I was told it would ship by the 11, then the 18th and yesterday i was told not until the 23rd. I live in NY I am slightly annoyed. My Droid died yesterday so I dont have a Phone!!

I called yesterday and was told 8/23 as well. I ordered on 8/4 from the Verizon Wireless website. When I ordered, the website said the phone would ship no later than 8/19.

Currently on a Samsung Omnia (i910). Eagerly awaiting my Droid X which I ordered online on the 5th. Then it said (by the 23rd), so reading through this thread I am now hopeful I will receive it much sooner. Never ordered my phones online before but wanted to get the 'Instant Rebate' rather than the stupid card. On a plus note, a call to CS prior to my order allowed me to bump up my NE2 date from Sept. 14th to Aug. 5th.

Any tips or specific threads anyone can point me to with some recommendations coming from winmo to android. Good programs, setting up mail different, ect...?

I practically had an aneurysm last night when I got home after work (where I ordered the X on my lunch break) and had a shipment notification from Verizon for a package to arrive today.

After I settled down and considered that I'm just not that lucky, though, I realized that the secondary free phone that I bought with a second line probably just shipped before the Droid. D'oh.
