like the title states...ive had a white evo from bestbuy for 2 weeks so i can still return it. i love the phone. it does everything with a big beautiful screen, the battery life has been terrific for me, i actually use flash a lot so 2.2 rocks, the music syncs seamlessly and plays phenomenally, and it has not crashed ONCE. seriously, not once. and oh yeah, its blazing fast. sounds great eh? but he's the real problem, like most of you im a tech geek! i for some reason, really want the epic now lol. i had the vibrant on tmo but i returned it because of some serious lag and the stupid touch capacitive buttons but idk i really wanna try this. what do you guys think? any input would be great, thank you!

You should go to Sprint and play with it. That's what convince me to trade in my Evo for the Epic. Now that lag you spoke of is there. But it might be just that it's still 2.1 and not 2.2. I get some lag from closing a few intense apps like gaming, which I never got on the Evo.

I will assume 2.2 froyo will fix this. It's not that big of a lag issue for me to consider not keeping it. I had a good enough time with the Epic to return the Evo. Bottom line, no matter what anyone says, you need to go see it for yourself and see if you like it.

If you like the EVO as much as it seems, keep it its a decent handset.

It's quite simple. If you love your Evo, keep it. If after testing an Epic, you fall in love with it, return the Evo and get the Epic. Either way you can't go wrong. Both phones are amazing. I got the Epic yesterday because I love the samoled screen and the gorilla glass. Also I like having a slide out keyboard because my screen isn't taken up with the touch keyboard. Occasionally, I've used the touch screen keyboard when convenient and I think it's great too.

If you average 2 to 3 bars on Evo your going to be 0 to1 on Epic. I'd honestly test its 3g against your Evo before getting it.

I don't know why the Evo is better with the 3G speed and the bars. My Epic is always lower then my old Evo. I tested some 3G speed test and the Evo always wins.

For now I will assume this is a froyo thing and froyo is the reason why the Evo was faster. I can't explain the bar thing, I'm not sure, maybe the Evo just has a better antenna?

I have a few drop calls already on the Epic, while non on the Evo. I had the Evo for 4 weeks and no drop calls. I had the Epic for 1 week and already 4 drop calls. The lowest was at 2 bars, the highest at 4 bars.
