Some people are just too rude to help.

Buc,

This is a forum. This is where people come to complain. Get used to it.

Also, the average member's age might be in the high-school to college range, so whining and complaining is highly likely since many of these kids were raised by parents that gave them everything they wanted. So, when some authority figure (or company, in this case) doesn't deliver EXACTLY what they want, thus ensues the whining and complaining. Take their comments for what it's worth: spoiled brat syndrome.

Got my update middle of the night last night. You all know the new stuff, here are a few things worrying me so far. Could be nothing:

Opened Newsrob (rss feeds) to sync this morning, only got a 1x signal and it stuck to that while updating. This happens sometimes, especially when I'm on a moving object (slow above-ground nyc subway train), so I ignored it. Became 3G eventually.

Train went underground. When the train came out of the tunnel, five minutes later I still had no internet connection. I had signal bars, but no 1x or 3g. I had to toggle airplane mode to get it back.

The calls I received a few minutes ago, I couldn't hear anything through the earpiece. Speakerphone worked, not the earpiece. I rebooted and now it works. I was listening to music with a wired headset earlier, perhaps related?

Woke up to an update.

Phone seems to be running a bit smoother than normal, which is nice seeing as it wasn't really experiencing any issues before.

So far, so good ;)

*edit - I'm from Albuquerque, NM and bought my phone the day it came out; if that means anything. Let me know if anyone is curious about anything :)

Woke up this morning to my Droid Alarm, but there was an update screen covering my snooze buttom. Damn phone made me lose ten extra minutes of sleep this morning since I couldnt snooze the alarm. Overall you have all heard it before the new unlock screen is there. But what I notice most of all is screen transitions are much better than they were before. Opening apps seem to kind of have an animation now more like the Iphone, looks to me like a good polishing for the OS. If you have any questions just ask and I will check it for you. Hope you get yours soon!!

It's not on mine either. Does that actually mean the phone isn't connected to the network correctly or something??

I haven't received the update yet, but I've noticed on several screenshots of 2.0 that "Verizon" is on the lock screen, too.

Again, I still have 2.0, and "Verizon" is NOT on my lock screen, so I'm curious if it will be missing once I update.

I hope it isn't there. I kinda like my "clean" lock screen.

Yea i am not sure about that. I dont seem to have any problems that i know of.

This is weird, not only do I not have the VZW identifer, my phone shows "Unknown" for the network in Settings/About Phone/Status:

Just curious - anyone else with this issue previously an Alltel customer who was switched over to Verizon? That's what happened with me, I kept my same number and plan, just adding the data plan onto it for the Droid when I got it.

I got a 1X last night for the first time with no update. Wondering if they are stressing bandwidth with the updates!

Did you do the *228 option 1, then *228 option 2?

Woke up to the update this morning..nice way to start the day.

The screen transitions definitely appear a bit smoother as others have said. I really don't see a big improvement in picture quality. The time between pics appears to down slightly, I would say maybe 5 seconds between pics.

Only issue I've had is my droid won't recognize the key ring app anymore. The icon was replaced by a generic android icon and won't start up. Anyone else have this issue? Other than that, seems to be a good update.
