Looking for Laptop help

I'm trying to find a laptop that, with a docking station, can support up to 4 external monitors. I'm assuming that it's not possible, but thought that the forum might know something I don't (that doesn't take much).

From my understanding the Lenovo W700 series can do 3, but that's the best I could find.

I need a beefy mobile development machine. I only get one "real" computer from work so I need a strong laptop. I have a Lenovo W500 with a dock that does 2 external, but I would kill for quad-display as I typically have Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer, at least one browser, and at least one RDP session open at one time. It would be great to have them all active/up at one time.

The one issue I see with this requirement is that it pretty much will turn that laptop into a desktop. Four flat panel monitors tend to make it somewhat stationary...

I use a dock at my desk. That's where I'm usually at. However, I need the mobility to go to meetings or work from home. Eventually, the dock will move home as the intent is to go virtual for as many staff as possible.

The issue is that I want a single machine that can move from room-to-room, location-to-location and still have 98%+ functionality (if I don't have direct access to AD, no big deal as enough should be cached).

Since your not gaming and therefore don't need graphics speed there are USB video adapters. We all lave laptops here at work and a couple of the unix folk run those USB adapters so they can have three (or more) monitors full of putty sessions.

I've thought about that. They work fine for Windows? How high of resolution can the "really" handle (not the marketing amount :p)?
