Help Issue with 4G staying on

Has anyone had an issue the 4G turning on for 1 or 2 seconds and then turning off? It wont stay on. I have called Sprint and talked to 2 levels of tech support and they gave me a number to call the "4G specialist" but thought I would post here also. Seems to have started this late last week. I have updated my profile and PRL. Tech support had me pull the battery and they sent a signal. Whatever that is suppose to do. My next step might be to do a hard reset. What are your thoughts...

Does it post an error, crash, or just turn off? Are you in a normal area with wimax?

Just turns off and I am in 4G coverage. I am going to hard reset when I get home tonight. I would like to do a total wipe of the SD card... what can I delete or should I just leave it alone.

Back up everything, but it sounds like the radio is shot (hardware problem) I would do a reset and try it just with stock everything.

I had the EXACT same problem and to top it off my phone was laggy as hell when the 4G was on, and after it turned off after a few seconds. Only fix was a restart, but the 4G still did not stay on.

What did I do?

I did a hard reset, and it is working perfectly know. One thing though, I had the app SwitchPro before, but did not install it this time because I believe it could have contributed to the issues because it started after I bought it and installed it.

I too am having a problem getting 4G to turn on. It'll turn on if I use the SwitchPro toggle, but if I go into Settings to turn it on, it tries to turn on, but immediately turns off. I'm going to try uninstalling SwitchPro and see what happens.

i have had issues since the last update, no switchpro...but I am rarely in 4g.

I uninstalled SwitchPro, turned off the phone, took out the battery, put it back together and after it started up, I could start 4G from Settings. I think I'll just use AnyCut to create a shortcut to the Wireless Settings/4G...

It appears that either 4G isnt playing nice w/ FLASH intensive sites. I'm also having issues with 4G not staying on and refusing to re-connect even when its selected on SWITCHPRO. I dont know if this is a Sprint problem w/their Wimax signal or if its a ROOTED thing--either way its very frustrating

I just started having this problem today. It will connect for a split second, then immediately disconnect, and say scanning, then connecting to sprint, connected, disconnected. continuously. Are you guys that are having this problem stock or rooted? I've never had a problem with 4g, and have great coverage where I'm at. For some reason it started happening right after I flashed a modified Rosie, running Myn's RLS2. It was working right before I flashed that zip, as a matter of fact I was on 4g when I downloaded it. I already restored my latest nandroid, where 4g was working fine prior to this. Still won't connect. Updated PRI and Profile, still no go. Pulled battery. No go. Might try wiping everything and re flashing the ROM. Hope I didnt somehow break my 4g radio.
