I had the Zagg Invisible Shield for my LG Dare...loved it...

picked up the Invisible Shield strictly for the touch screen for $10 yesterday from a kiosk at 1 of the malls here in vegas...took me less then 5 minutes to install...and loving it once again...:D

gotta love that the invisible shield is life time warranty against stratches, scuffs, peeling...if that ever happens zagg will replace it without any questions free of charge...
Are you saying you got the Zagg screen only protector for $10 from their kiosk in Vegas? If so which kiosk because I am also in Vegas and will go et one tomorrow. That is $20 at Best Buy. Also did they have the full body kit in stock?

I just purchased a Phantom screen protector but is there really a need for a full body protector??

The back of the phone is made of a kind of anti-scratch plastic it seems.

It's not anti-scratch!:( Unfortunately, I found out the hard way; my battery cover came off while i was pulling the phone out of my shirt pocket and fell on a vinyl floor surface scratching/denting one the corners. I wonder if Verizon would replace the battery cover...?!!

Ghost Armor on the way. I found it much smoother with less of the orange peel effect and not as "grabby" as Zagg. I have Zagg on my Ipods and love it but it can be a bit tacky. I'm just not sure about all the bits and pieces that will be needed to cover the back and sides.

I find thde Zagg product to be spongy too. Ghost armour is nice but I found body gaurdz to be identical and you get 2 for the price of one. Droid is a tough install so be patient.

I just received and email that "best skins ever" is now producing the full body protector. So there's another option.

Anyways, I was just wondering for those of you who have any of the full body protectors, does it stick/stay on the full body nicely? Do all of the edges and back feel like they are secure?

This is what I'm questioning if I was to slide it into a pocket and for the protector just to rip off.

Thanks

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind. I want to make sure it has the most protection, but while keeping it the sleekest possible.

I'm interested in an Invisible Skin/Ghost Armor, but I'd like to see pics of it on the Droid. When someone gets it installed, could you share pics?

I have it on mine. No pics but there is nothig to see. I hate the way the phone feels with it though. There are alot of thin stips on the sides to cover all the plastic bits and you can feel all the sharp ridges. I may ent up taking it off and just leaving the back and screen protected. The screen works fine with the skin on it and you cant eve tell its there.

I've had a "skin" on my last 4 phones. From experience I can tell you that it doesn't really matter where you buy it from. I used the $25 Invisible Shield (from Best Buy) for my last blackberry and found that the corners started to peal and pick up dirt after a few months. The $5-$10 one from bestskinsever.com worked just as well as a replacement. Even though you get 1 warranty replacement from Invisible Shield, I would just buy two of the skins from bestskinsever.com and replace it in a few months.

Motorola Droid Skin

The other issue with these "skin" type products is that they never seem to cover the corners well. When I removed the skin from my old blackberry the surfaces and screen were flawless, but all the corners and scuffing on them. But its better than nothing!

haha it was so funny, i forgot to tell you guys this story....

well anyways i was at the verizon store on the launch day of the droid and when i was picking up my droid i told the guy about Zagg and i explained it to him what it was and he said o yaa i know what that is, and than he said but that WONT work on the droid.. i started laughing in his face literally and said "umm okkk??? w.e you say man" he said that the invisible shield wont work with the touch screen on the droid, (that it doesnt pic up the touch as well) im like well i have it on ALL my devices, including my ipod touch and it works fine, you cant even tell in the difference in the touch when its on..

i just thought that was pretty funny lol

I had an invisibleSHIELD on my Touch Pro and it significantly detracted from the touch screen feel. While I don't agree that it "won't work" like he explains, I certainly disagree with your claim that you cannot tell a difference. If you can't, then you've forgotten what it is like without the invisibleSHIELD on the touch screen, simple as that.

I just put GhostArmor on my Moto Droid and Fiance's HTC Eris. Looks pretty good and a bit easier to install than Zagg. I have had Zagg on my second Droid. all Ten of my LG Dare's, HTC Touch Pro, PS3, Sony DSC T-700 camera screen. As well as my Fiance's old BB Storm, and other LG phones..... I am very loyal to Zagg, I even have their headphones. But Ghost Armor was have a sale, Two Ghost Armors for the price of almost one Zagg. so I chose that for now. I had the clear Acrylic case from VZW for the Droid, was just soo bulky I couldn't get comfortable with the top row of keys on the keyboard. Tried the silicon gel snap-on case and that was horrible!! That case wouldn't even stay on in the upper right corner, and that was with no invisble shield or anything.

Also I noticed that the Ghost Armor has a less of an orange peel effect then the Zagg products. The Ghost Armor only minimizes the touch effect very little but it IS very nocticable.

I'm more concerned about dropping my phone and cracking something that I am about scratching anything. Hence, snap on case for me. Putting phantom skinz on my screen though.

YES I NEED MY PHONE PROTECTED ENTIRELY,I LIKE THIS CASE BECAUSE IT COVERS MY PHONE IN ALL WAYS,INCLUDING THE FACE WHEN I TOSS IT IN MY PURSE

The Droid's screen can't be scratched to begin with - why protect it??

Trust me, I tried using a quarter and keys (the things usually kept in a pocket) and it wouldn't scratch the screen. At most, it left residue of the different metals which wiped right off. I love the DROID!
Try your experiment with sand and then ask us why we protect it.
