Anybody having a problem with the Messaging app? Sometimes if I click on said person it opens up a different persons thread. Also If I am on the home screen and click to open SMS it often takes me to my last open program? IT fiexes with a reboot but comes back after a couple hours

Mine sometimes opens another person. I also get battery force closes pretty often, but that's no different than Moto's 2.2.

Yep, just add files to the queue and press start when you're ready.

Hey guys, I just got a warranty phone, which actually came loaded with 2.2 to my suprise, rooted it, got bootstrap and rom manager and am about to flash apex. Will it even work and is it a bad idea to flash the data from my old phone from apex?

ok, well i have having a problem here. I have rom manager, and plan on installing it that way. i do NOT have bootstrap. anyway, when i open up rom manager and click on install from sd card, i select the file and it prompts me to restart, which i do. then the phone just restarts normally and doesnt go into clockworkmod. i am rooted and deodexed running OTA 2.2. is there something i am doing wrong with rom manager, or is my phone just stupid. any help is very appreciated.

Fab, I have avoided going beyond just rooting my X but when I saw that Apex was your work I had to take the plunge (as I had many times with my original Droid). This ROM is running great and NexTheme has been the icing on the cake. You have again raised the bar.

Install from RM won't work. You can download from RM, but then you have to follow install instructions in OP

It used to be true but I am pretty sure they have figured out out to get the install to automatically mount the system now

yeah, i kinda realized that after countless tries with just rom manager so i downloaded bootstrap, and boom. installed apex with no issues.

I have tried voltage into the 80's but I would never run that daily and it still froze. So what's the point. Also 1600+ at 1.3 is nit that great. I get average scores of 1622 at 1.15 and 1660 at 1.18 witch is the top of my DX's stable range

It would be a headache, checksum won't match.

I got the exact opposite results. I couldn't get past 1.1GHz using stock or higher voltage. I found I'm stable using the Ultra Low Voltage 1.2GHz. 1600+ in quadrant, great battery life. 1.2GHz on medium or high voltage resulted in a turtle every time.

but is it possible to customize the given pre-overclock If so, please direct me to the correct method (if there is more than one). I'm getting hype over the new overclock stuff.

I've been away from this forum for a long time because of other stuff that's been catching up with me.

As far as the custom overclock goes all you have to do is go into terminal emulator and type su overclock and a list of commands fab has put in there will come up then just follow them to have over clock on or off (after reboot)....and if you want to overide his just turrn it off and get one of the overclock apps from the market which are droid x/2 overclock or dx/ d2 overclock and select one of the presets that may work for you

all you had to do is read the 1st post. He updated the instructions

-Choose ApeX and install!

has anyone had issues with the overclock not taking? really don't want to have to flash an sbf. couldn't i restore a nandroid instead?

I don't think I've had any reports of the overclock not taking at all, but a very small minority that are very unstable (reboots like every 10 minutes). That being said, 10 minutes is plenty time to disable the feature in terminal emulator
