My last question, I promise, can I do all this in store and then come home and activate/de-activate? Or, better yet, can I have all this done at Best Buy? The latter would be awesome but to get a free Inc AND keep my NE2 I'll do whatever it takes, lol

I was able to do this exact process in store, but it was in a VZW store so i dont know about bestbuy

BTW so did anyone jump on the deal?

I was able to do everything I wanted at Best Buy. The kind lady did everything for me and I just have to activate the dumbphone I took the upgrade from (*228). So far the Incredible is Incredible and I'm LOVING it. I also got to keep my NE2 from VZW so I can get a LTE phone when they roll out. All in all a very successful day IMO

So I'm still using my D1 and have an upgrade ready, I'm torn as to if I should go to best buy and get the free Dinc or wait for the Inc HD rumored for release in less than a month (money is not a huge issue,but its hard to pass up a free smartphone upgrade), I really like both HTC phones and want to make the switch to Sense from my rooted D1, however I don't want to be stuck with the Dinc if it falls into the outdated category (kind of like the Eris) when the Inc HD comes out =/
Anybody know if best buy will follow Verizon's usual policy and let me exchange at 2 year upgrade price if the Inc HD comes out in the next 30 days?

I just got back from Best Buy with a new Dinc for my wife, no hassles, no rebates NO TAX!!!, Verizon now offers different data plans so I lowered my wife's to the $15 a month....sweet!

Finally we are done with Storm 1's.

Not that it matters, but are you guys just getting your Inc's all getting the new SLCD? or is it still mixed inventory?

The one that I got today from Best Buy (free and no tax!) is the new SLCD. In case people are wondering, you can check your SKU. ADR6300VW3 is SLCD.

Same SKU...not as vibrant of colors but I thought SLCD did have its advantages, what were they again?

I think mine may have the Ameloid (sp) the girl at best buy and I were talking about the differences and how much better the SA is over the SLCD. I saw her go through 7 Inc's looking at the sku numbers before bringing mine over to the counter. Thinking she may have hooked me up??? I'm not at home but will check when I get back.

I went in first thing this morning.... The guy took one look at the Inc box I had with me and said "We don't price match today," almost in a disgusted tone. I politely said "I had talked with (name) yesterday and he told me you would." The guy shook his head and said he'd do it for me since I was told they would but that he'd be talking to his Sales Associate. Whatever. They did it....$212 back in my pocket. I was happy they followed thru with their word.... Perhaps they should have told all their associates what the rules were beforehand.

Mine is the slcd. I like it. The only issue I've run into so far is that some kernals don't work with the slcd screen but that's only a problem if you're rooting. FWIW there are some kernals that work perfectly with the slcd screens.

If the above sku info is right then I picked up a slcd for my lady and I can't tell a flippin difference between it and my old Dinc? Guess I just don't have the eye for it!

I'm glad they did it for you! I noticed today on the BB Mobile page that it does indeed say no price matches, so you really lucked out!

I got mine! I asked dh if he could pick one up for me on his way to work, but he was running late. I tried to order one online for in-store pick up, but it said online ordering was temporarily unavailable. I wasn't able to get to BB until 1:30, so I was pretty nervous I wouldn't get one. They had 2 or 3 left. Whew!

I'm totally excited to play with my Dinc as I've been patiently waiting for months, but my phone won't charge at all and now the battery is dead. :mad:

That's not good.

Now that you have one in-hand they should be able to swap it out for a good one if there is indeed a problem with the phone. Good luck!!!

Thanks! Dh just got home and tried his Droid charger, which is working!

The weird thing is that my charger charges his Droid, but won't work on the Dinc. My car charger also wouldn't work on it. It did work when I first put it on, but when I went back out to check on it five minutes later, it wasn't charging. Hopefully it's just the chargers.

I use this Motorola charger.. it works on the Droid 2 and the Inc.

Just picked one up from my local bestbuy yesterday, came home and saw that I did in fact get a amoled screen, which is great since my last DINC had one as well. Looks like there are still AMOLED still floating around.

I'm a former Eris user as well. Make sure you guys do the Verizon trade-in program. I got $132 for my Eris. Plus, u get to keep your Eris charger and battery. The battery works with the DI and you just need a cheap Mini to Micro USB adapter to use the old charger.
