Root SD Card Full of Stuff

Everytime I flash a new ROM, I add more stuff to my sd card. My sd card is literally full of stuff. I only have 3 GB left. This is probably a really dumb question - but how do I know which stuff I can delete and which stuff stays? I don't know what a lot of this stuff is. The last ROM I flashed, Nonsensikal 10.8.1 was today. I did do a dalvic wipe and a factory data settings wipe. Sorry - I have no idea if that makes any difference in the contents of my sd card.

Any suggestions or tips would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks! :eek:

What recovery are you using? Most likely whats being stored on your sd card (other than photos, videos, music, etc) Is your nandroid backups, which you really only need maybe one or two. Also your rom downloads could be stored there too. Dalvik wipe and factory data wipes only affect the phones built in memory, not the sd card.

Id say just look on your sd card where your backups are stored, and figure delete all but one. They should be labeled by date, not sure.

Yep, move your backups to your computer, you only need ones you're going to switch to. Titanium backup files take up some room too.

Copy all of your personal files like music, pictures, nandroid backups and anything that you feel like keeping. If there are any backup files for your other apps like Titanium Backup or anything else, grab those. Then just format the SD, flash a rom and copy your person files back on. By flashing a rom it should set up anything that you actually need on the SD card. I do this periodically to keep things under control.

So I don't need to worry about all of those weird file ext. folders on my SD card if I flash a new ROM, because the Rom will put whatever it may need on my SD card there?

Right. ROMs (and apps) will create whatever folders they require when you first run them.
