Root [ROM] UD 2.5.0 Ready For Download

I read up on the missing app issue and I guess the 'Redboxer' app no longer exists and a new app called 'RedReserve' has taken over that does the same thing. I can't find the 'RedReserve' app in the market either.

I found the app on my girlfriend's droid that is running bugless beast v5 (2.2),, but can't find the app on my phone that is running UD 2.5 (2.2.1).

I think some apps haven't made it to the 2.2.1 yet.

Seems like since i upgraded my version of busybox, and started using compcache, ive achieved noticable changes in speed and battery life. Im using the stock kernal, the suggested stock setting in compcache, and instead of using the UD overclocking app. Im using setCPU with a profile enabled to save power when the phone is sleeping an when it gets below a 40% battery left.

can someone recommend me which one is the best one? the most smoothest one with no glitches or any problems. this will be my first time flashing a kernel on my droid so i want to pick the right one off the bat. thanks!

There is no "right one". Every droid is different. Simply put, you have to go through trial and error to figure out which one is best for your droid. But those 3 groups of kernels is a very good place to start.:D

by the way, when you use launcher pro, do you sometimes get a blank screen when you hit "back" a few times to go back to the home screen? like the launcher pro restarted itself or something?

how does one "disable asserts"? if i flashed the kernel already without "disabling asserts" am i screwed?

to tell you the truth I have never disabled asserts and haven't received any problems. Also if you have long pressing the back button to kill apps enabled then what you did was pretty much force stopped launcher pro and start it over.

hmm i've tried to overclock it at 1250 and also 1200 and its been freezing up and restarting on me. guess i'll try 1100 next. what have you guys stably overclocked it to?

1200 using p3droid lv kernal. Usually I use Chevy or Slayher kernals but this particular rom likes the p3droid. Point being that it varies not only Droid to Droid but rom to rom as well. Experiment, try them till you find one you like. :)

600 MHz to 1 GHz is the most stable/usable, for me (currently in the middle at 800). Anything above 1 GHz doesn't seem to make much of a difference, so far as daily usage goes, and things start acting up at 1200 (again, for my Droid).

I can't really think of a functional/noticeable reason to go any higher, outside of benchmark scores. The marginal performance gain isn't worth the battery drain, in my experiences.

yeah i tried 1250,1200,1100 and all of them caused my phone to reboot or freeze. im using the low voltage 1000mhz kernel and its been smooth and snappy so far. hope it holds up! also, i've downloaded the quadrant app and my benchmark score was 1200-1300 right under Nexus One 2.2. im not even sure what the hell a benchmark score is but i guess my current setup beats the hell out of a stock moto droid. thanks guys

Every time I open up SetCPU, it always says "SetCPU has root privileges." Does that mean the overclocking goes away from time to time and starts back up again when I open up SetCPU? This isn't even after restarting the phone. It seems after every few hours or so.

Oh, and can someone explain the vm heap size and what it should be, please?

has anyone had their launcher pro trial run out? i put this UD 2.5 on her droid and she kept sayin a message kept popping up. turns out it was warning her about her trial running out. now she cant get to her home screen. tried doing a wipe and everything. no luck. im hoping if i install 3.0 it will fix it.

I am running Ultimate Droid 2.5 I have noticed that the scroll bar indicator in long lists (such as in twidroyd or listen list, or the web browser) is not there. Is this a UI setting somewhere or a "feature" of UD 2.5?

My last ROM was UD 1.0 and the scroll bar was there.

This is something that BD removed from the ROM. As far as I know, there is no way to re-enable it.
