How do you figure that the battery life is "much improved" ? We don't know that yet, so we should stick to historical evidence (poor battery life).
Also, whoever posted the link to the WSJ article, come on. We all know analysts and the media have been WRONG way more times than they have been right. I don't trust those guys anymore. They can all go to hell
I would link where I read it but I've been through a ton of articles about HTC and the Thunderbolt in the last day and the other phones announced for VZW at CES so I do not remember where I read the quote. None the less it will be at least slightly improved by the better processor and people are saying LTE takes more power to run, that may be true but nobody knows how much more and for all anyone knows it could be a wash after you consider in how much faster you get your more battery intensive web activities/streaming done. In the end whether or not it is that much of a difference the phone should still do about as well in the market, many people complain about the battery in the EVO or Incredible but only few actually boycott it for the battery issues.
