Root UD 3.0.1 Released

Aight, been running it all day, def pretty nice. I do have an issue that's bothering me. It keeps resetting my notification and phone ringtone to it's default. I'll change it, it'll be right, then receive a message or call, and we're back to the default again. When it comes to setting contact ringtones, it doesn't let me change them at all. I'll pick a tone, hit ok, but the contact's tone still says default.

Has anyone else noticed this or willing to give it a try?

Yep same problem, ended up using Ringmaker to get my text message and email tones working, but no matter what I do I cant get a ringtone to save, any program I've tried will make a file and put it into the "system" ringtones, I can go in and check right after that and the tone is selected and working, but wait a while and the file completely disappears from the default "system" list and is then defaulted back to some regular thing, cant get anything to work and I cant go without my ringtones :) Probably gonna go back to something else as these gingerbread roms have some stupid problems that havent been worked out quite yet

This happened to me a lot with the Liquid GB ROMs as well as, at least initially, on both final version of UD GB. But the strange thing is when a ringtone, notification tone, or alarm would change from what I've selected, it wouldn't necessarily change to the default tone. Heck, it didn't even change to a tone that's an option to choose from. For example, one morning my alarm goes off and it just randomly chose a song from my SD card (in this case it was Losing Lisa by Ben Folds). Then another time my phone rang, and instead of hearing my selected ringtone, it played a song by Arcade Fire (which, again, was never an option in my ringtones).

Now for some reason it hasn't happened over the past two days. What I have selected has remained. This has been a very strange and puzzling bug. But with how well the ROM runs on my phone, it's one I can deal with if it happens again (as long as my alarm doesn't wake up up with Metallica or Rage Against the Machine and scare the crap out of me at 5:30 in the morning).

My experience has almost mirrored this, exactly. As of recent, my normal ringtone/alarm setting has stayed put. Prior to this, it would choose a song at random, and one day, I suspect it selected one for my alarm that was just too low, so it had the effect of not sounding, at all.:(

This is on a full wipe, fresh install (which actually fixed some other issues).

Just went from UD 2.5 to 3.0.1. Its great! I realize its still in the early state but i got a few questions.

1: Any way to put battery % on? Or do i need an app for it?
2: Any way to install apps like you could in UD 2.5? I mean like the Terminal emulator app, wired/wireless tethering apps without having to go to market?(i liked the ones that he included).
3: anyone else getting something like not enough space when downloading an app(simply retrying seems to get it to download).

Thanks guys. awesome ROM!

Rolled back to 2.5. Starting getting FC's constantly.

I think something is up with this ROM... I am having lots of memory management problems (there is essentially no multitasking ability), FCs, and random reboots. Maybe there is some kind of memory leak?

While not perfect, I did not experience any of these issues with the Liquid Gingerbread 1.2 ROM. (I did a full wipe before installing UD 3.0)

anyone had issues with taking pictures and they just disappear? i went to a basketball game the other night, took a ton of pictures (with the stock camera app) and got on the next day and NONE of the photo's were in my gallery. so i took some test pics and they dont send to my gallery unless after each pic I go to view the picture... I have gone though some settings to see if there is something not set up right but cant find anything.

Yeah, I've had that issue on a handful of ROMs. It's really frustrating, but it seems like eventually they reappear.

I am having a similar problem with photos, I deleted some that I had downloaded and when I exited the gallery and went back in they were still there. I have also had a problem when I downloaded some from an email they would show until I closed the gallery then disappear. However once I rebooted the phone the pics were there. I am thinking it is a problem with the gingerbread builds in general
