I was wondering if anyone here has experienced anything similar to this.

I was able to copy my entire SD card (~4GB) to my comp in like three four minutes. But when I went to put one cd (~40MB) it took seven minutes. Right now I am copying 1 nandroid backup to my phone and it says that it will take around 50 minutes.

I formatted my SD card after I copied the files to my comp to see if maybe that would help. Any suggestions would be welcome.

If it matters: CM7, w/ A savageZen kernel (havs cfs I believe) (GB) 0.1.2

::EDIT::
This holds true for both windows and linux. Windows kept closing during file transfer, and linux is doing a 'stop and go' that i've never seen before. It'll do 10 MB every two minutes or so.

Tried to get to the SD card, but damn, they have that in there very well. My fingers are too big, and my fingernails are too short.

Any ideas?

I keep getting errors. Splicing of files or something. The USB mode in CM7 keeps disconnecting after too long. This is stopping the transfer of files over a particular size (seems to be about the size of the system.img file.)

I am now tring to ADB it over to my phone.

Code:
adb remount
adb push system.img /sdcard/nandroid/HTxxxxxxxxx/BCDS-xxxxxxx-xxxx-MynsWarm22
Backing up my nandroid of Myn's because I know I didn't have the problem then.

I guess this is, again, in case anyone esle stumbles up this issue or has any ideas. It's still pushing the file so...

what version of CM7 are you using? Do you have any idea which nightly it is.
Also, are you having issues mounting your phone to your computer?

I was experiencing a few issues with connecting to my computer a couple days ago. It wouldn't connect and was also taking awhile to transfer things, turns out it was my Rom.

Use titanium backup to back everything up, make a new nandroid, and do a fresh install of the latest CM7 nightly. If that doesn't solve it, it could be a usb port problem.

Edit**
Okay so I just saw your new post.
I think you're having the same issue I was having.
You should definitely try doing a full wipe and flashing the new nightly.
That is if you want to stay with CM7.
I had no problems with other Roms aswell.

Not sure what version it was, the file is called "cm_supersonic_full-11.zip", guessing 11?
Yeah well, it will mount, but not stay mounted, CM disconnects it. On my windows machine, whenever the backlight went off, it'd disconnect the USB connection. Linux didn't do that, it waited until it was half done and 40 minutes in to disconnect.

ADB pushed the file in just a few minutes. I am now wiping everything several times, flashing Myn's warm 2.2 and hoping like hell it was a rom issue.

I have all my stuff backed up so it should be good. I'll have to get the lastest CM 7 monday at school (dial up)

But thanks for the reply luxetical.

::EDIT::

Okay, restored Myn's (wow, I forgot how dang sharp it looks!) and everything is going fine. The CD that took my 7 minutes now took like 20 seconds or so. Everything seems to be working again. Now to restore the apps I am missing.

No problem, definitely do a fresh install then.
Full factory reset/wipe and flash the new nightly (#12)

Can you try transferring stuff with a different rom again as soon as you can? And then let me know if you are having the same issue with another rom.

If it's an issue with CM7 I want to see if I can figure it out or if any others are having issues and report it to them.
I already shared my problem with the community here, but it seems no one else has experienced it.

Okay, then it must be something with the nightly's or we just did something wrong hahaha

I'll bring it up with other CM7 users to see if anybody else has issues.

Well, everything seems to be working with myn's 2.2; putting music back on the SD card as I type. It says it'll be taking just 2 minutes so that's not too bad.

I, unfortunately, do not have access to any other CM7 versions (dial up), but I do have the CM6.1.2, but I think it might just be the update file (update-cm-6.1.2-supersonic-signed.zip).

But I do have Evervolv downloaded for ASOP roms and a few sense roms downloaded.

But as far as issues, I would say it is the same issue you were having (from what I've read and you've said), but then again, I am using an out of date version so.. maybe that is the issue?
