Root Wireless Tether on GB.

I can't get Wireless Tether to work. My WiFi Xoom connects to my regular wireless network at home just fine but I need to use Wireless Tether at work. When I start Wireless tether it pops up in the Xoom's list of available networks but when I click on it to connect it keeps saying it is obtaining the IP address from Wireless Tether and never changes or works. Any ideas? If there are any .apks or patches I need, could someone point me in the right direction?
The 3G Mobile Hotspot app works but directs me to a page to signup for a plan.

i did the patch and my wifi tether is working now. i'm connected through the verizon connection but i was never prompted to subscribe to the service through the phone browser or my computer. and with the rumor that its free for a month, i may just use this fix until something else becomes available or it stops working. i'm sure it won't take long to get some roms out that get rid of whatever is causing the mobile hotspot app to keep interrupting wireless tether.

I used the TBH patch as well and got a working connection with the vzw hotspot app. I also downloaded the wireless tether 3.0 release linked above, and this is working too. The only thing I could think of is make sure you're flashing the TBH patch only, there is another package that replaces the 3g mobile hotspot app, that may be causing some problems.

That would make sense. If the devs can't get around this then I'll be sticking with froyo. I'm experiencing NO benefits from the stock gingerblur. Its not as smooth as liberty, apex, or rubix. The only reason I haven't went back to froyo again yet is I don't feel like sbf'ing again yet. The new look is quite nice and there are a couple neat features that I wouldn't use anyway. I'm going to hold out to see if things get better with gingerbread. But I'll be keeping my sbf handy :p
