Rehash of email and chats with HTC saying 2.3 by end of June for us, no mention of Sense.
it doesn't matter what operating system they put on it. I'm happy with what i got now, and if i get sick of it well then i guess ill get something new.... Like the evo 3d when it comes out. But i can swap roms on this no prob. And i know developer gb roms aren't as good as a manufacturers. Its real close i'm sure and i really don't think its that great over 2.2 right now, just different. But ill for sure be waiting until 3d has full root before i even consider buying it. which will more than likely be five minutes before it comes out anyway.
damn it..
i was hoping evo would get the update to 2.3 first.. after the nexus.
but droid x bet us.
Official DROID X Android 2.3 Gingerbread OTA Slowly Rolling Out? Might Bring Netflix Support
well.. i sure hope htc feels my pain... and is working to release it next month!
Awesome. I just can't Imagine them taking the time to make GB work with an older Sense version. I can bet that GB is kind of a package offer. You get Sense 2.0 & GB no questions asked.
why is it that all the lower end android phones get GingerBread before us EVO owners?
Developers are already working on Sense 2.0 for the new leak that dropped today. I am running the leak now and it's pretty flawless and running really good. That with the new Sensation wallpapers and it feels like a new phone....sorta
What's the difference between that (2.0?) and new sense on the 3d (3.0?) I'm really looking for the home screen rotation and the navigation/call split screen.
This thread started in June of 2010. It is more than a little silly that Evo users are still running 2.2.
I bought my Evo a couple of weeks ago because I lost my Blackberry and I've admired the phone. I have to admit to slight buyer's remorse that it is not further along as a platform ... and seems to be on the way out.
hi and welcome..
you got a phone that is almost a year old...
the new one will drop in a few months..
and you have buyer's remorse.. because it is old..
question.. was it a surprise?
