need some advice....i dropped my phone two weeks ago and damaged the screen. its too bad to fix myself so i will be claiming it on insurance. the only thing im worried about is when i dropped it, it landed in a lot of water as well. i even found water inside the cover three days later! amazingly it still turns on and i can see the homescreens working as normal. my only concern is that if my insurance company decide to fix the screen and not replace the handset then should i be concerned about any water damage??

they want me to send it to them next week and it's getting to the point that im thinking about damaging it more just to ensure i get a replacement instead of a fix

any suggestions on this?

i know its random

cheers

Does the inssurance company fix phones that are water damaged? The company that does our phones does insure water damaged phones. Can you just say you lost thge phone and they will replace it?

No unfortunately i was too honest with them and told them about the screen and water damage. wish id said it was lost now! they have said they will need to inspect the phone and will then decide on a repair or replacement. Insurance companies in the past have always done a replacement due to water damage so i would be surprised if they fixed it. But if they look at it and turn it on they will see that if works fine apart from a cracked sceen.
