Release date: 6/24 nationwide; 6/21 for SP members.

I strongly believe that sprint is just f'n with us, seriously. This phone will be released the first half of june, I am certain of it.

I certainly hope you're right on the date, but as to the first part...it very well could be, just seems like a poor decision if that's indeed what they're doing. Take some of your most rabid customers (the bleeding edge type) and leave them out in the cold. Seems like a good way to get them to get their fix elsewhere.

I dunno. First, we heard HTC France officially announced they were getting the 3vo, that was post-Sprint - now we have another carrier in the mix (and I'm not sure of Vodafone's scope of operations, but I know they're in several countries).

Hey hey hey buddy, just watch it! That hasn't won yet! :p:D:cool:

It will - 3vo on the 3rd with Sense 3 does make the most sense - um - june or july 3rd, there's the question.

I'd say July 3rd sounds more likely than June 3rd, to me.

Sprint could even tie it into July 4th and have a free download for customers the next day, in order to see 3D fireworks!...HAHAHAHA.

Declare your independence from 2 dimensions? I kinda like it!

Now, adding to that, they may want to take advantage of the marketing campaign leading up to that date.

They can do something where, pre-orders can "officially" pick up the phone under pre-order on June 29 (Wednesday), but "official" release date to everyone would be July 3rd. That's what I remember for the white EVO because I ended up swapping my black EVO for the white one, due to the early issues I was having with my first 2 black EVO's I purchased.

What? They had 1-2 experts at my Sprint Store. Didn't cover everything with every employee. Someone already wrote on this forum that they received the training this month.

If I were to walk into a corporate Sprint Store, do you think they'd be able to show me a demo, like one of the manager's did when I originally got my EVO? The demo phone wasn't on "regular" display, but they put it out on the counter for me to check out.

I don't know where you live. I just know what is going on where I live. I have seen a demo phone. Its about who you know, not what you know.

You know maybe this time they will do a soft launch followed by some media hype and commercials. This way they can keep up with demand and keep everyone happy.

Oh and I'm still waiting for all the people who told me I was stupid for saying HTC owned the EVO name, not Sprint to step up and admit they were wrong :)

Soft launch? No way. The Evo 4g arguably single handedly saved sprints ass last year and they need to come out with guns blazing, maintaining the momentum from last year by pushing the evo 3d like never before. Look around, all the other carriers are getting some pretty cool phones all with their fare share of advertising so sprint really needs to pic up their game.

well yeah that would be great if they could pull it off.
they didn't pull it off last year and perhaps they learned from their mistakes.

yes the evo was and is popular but the launch was not the best imho.
lots of people with preorders had to wait to get the phone.

just saying that could be why we have the secret pre orders and no news from sprint.
