Help How long does your battery last?

I'm pretty sure switching to WCDMA only has no effect on signal, because there is no gsm network for it to receive. Switching to 2g only makes the phone inoperable unless your roaming on a network that has 2g.

I've left mine on wcdma only, not sure if it helped the battery life any, but I dont see a reason to leave it on wcdma/gsm, since it could possibly make it hunt if it loses signal, but I haven't seen evidence of this.

i think you can stop the update service.... As you can know about the updates without that also, from LG PC Suite.

mine can last about 20 hours (& about 3 days if i don't use anything except answering/calling.)

approx. 30mins of phone calls, 1-2 hours of gaming &/or listening to music, 20 SMS, battery widget & lookout security is enabled 24/7.
WIFI, 3G, Bluetooth & Auto-sync are disabled unless i wanna use any one of them. i also use the 2G network instead of 3G (goto Network settings).
brightness is about 40%.

some background apps consume alot of battery power, so choose an app which doesn't drain out your battery more than usual...
& always kill tasks once every 10-15 mins or after using the phone & apps.
force-kill the app(s) if it keeps starting every 3-4 mins (if it doesn't work in Task Kiiller- goto manage Applications, select the app & click on force stop).

I believe that you need all of those services.

Your phone has used half its battery in 10hrs. Which falls in line with all the people above you as normal use. Gaming uses a lot of power as it needs both the screen and the processor running all the time/at full power.

Seems reasonable.

it depends on what game app u play as well.
for example, "Angry Birds" is a power hungry game app.
just 10-15 mins of gameplay will cause the batt to get real hot & it saps 10-15% of my battery level. No more playing of "Angry Birds" for me anymore! :mad:

The battery on mine lasts about 24 hours or a bit less during weekdays, and 2 days on weekends. During weekdays I do the following with it:

10-15 minutes of calls;
varying number of text messages;
quite a bit of gaming, such as Robot Unicorn Attack or Gameboid (30-50 minutes);
about one hour of music;
HSDPA on for 6 hours while at school, Bluetooth if needed;
WiFi (2-3 hours) and Bluetooth if needed at home;

I have push YMail/Facebook and syncing activated, don't use Auto-Kill on ATK... Brightness is about 40%. Occasionally I may watch an Xvid video while on the railcar, or read something. As you can see I do quite a few things with it, I was worried because of the battery myself at the beginning. I don't use it as much on weekends, so that's why I don't have to charge it. :p
