Root CM4DX Gps Fix

In file manager? I tried long press and didn't get any fix permissions, I am new please don't roast me

I use mount / system app from the market and terminal emulator.

Run the app and mount system as read write ( rw ). Then in the terminal emulator, type su. Now just

cp gps.shadow.so /system/lib/hw
chmod 644 /system/lib/hw/gps.shadow.so

Rerun the mount app and mount back to read only ( ro ) and reboot.

Worked for me. Launched Google maps and in about 4 seconds, it had my location.

I have not had any problems with my network location at all. What baseband are you on .12 or .07? I am on .07 using the Monster zip twice to get there.

.07. I flashed the monster.zip second time this morning.

After "calibrating". Compass isn't reliably pointing north... sometimes it seems off by 45degrees or so.

The first compass app was compass from catch.com and is also uses coarse (network) gps. It could never find my signal.

Just be aware that even with a GPS and camera fix, this ROM is still in beta and has issues. The next biggest issue is probably the battery use issue. Most users have experienced higher than normal cell standby usage that causes the battery to be used up much quicker than normal, even if the phone is not being used.
