Root Cm7 1.1

I am losing total data connection still. I toggle the Airplane and all that stuff. only 3G comes back for a bit and SOMETIMES I get 4G (green) but it doesn't stick when I move around.

I think I am going to switch over to an MR2 Sense build, those seemed flawless as far as data connection goes.

I will be back when there is a stable (data wise) CM7 because CM7 is ****ing sexy!

Been running 1.1 all afternoon. It's very stable (LP+ FC's after every boot still) and the battery life seems much, much improved. I'm running the MR1 version, it has done me solid on all the other builds and if it's good enough for Slayher it's good enough for me.

If anyone uses auto brightness you're going to need to adjust the settings manually as it defaults to a very dark setting. This was posted on rootzwiki, but for those that don't hang out over there here it is. After changing all the settings shown in the blog I bumped up all the screen levels by another 20 and it's working like it should. Just make sure you don't exceed 255 as that's the highest the TB can go

Thanks for posting this!

I always was intrigued by the brightness settings screen but didn't know what I was doing. The +20 recommendations was a great starting point, tweaked them a little more along with the button settings and it's perfect.

The MR2 version was pretty underwhelming with the data connections, but back on the 402 radio 1.1 is just lovely!

By the way, what theme are you using?

I'm using Synergy, which I like, but the only thing I wish was done differently is the settings screen is still completely stock. Kinda surprising considering how many of the little details are themed compared to most.

It's called "Minimal Arrows". I like "Synergy", too, but I lower my density and the icons get very small in the status bar so I rarely use it. It is surprising, though considering they put a lot of work into the theme. I'm also not a fan of the WiFi icon and I'm on WiFi 95% of the time. Check out "Easy Day" it's my daily theme, very, very minimal, though (probably too minimal for most)

Thanks, I'll check it out. Right now im running Mixer, which I like a lot. Might be a touch too colorful for some though.

hmm, yeah that was me over there too. No one on here has mentioned it, and both people i have texted tonight have said it has sent doubles a few times. One is on an incredible and the other has the most basic phone you can get, so i'm going to go with it is something wrong on my end not theirs.

Are you using the stock mms app?

Might be a dumb question, but possibly a different mms app and the stock one conflicting?

I know with handcent there is an option to check to send all messages through handcent, and also one about an error of resending texts if not checked. I will either delete the stock messaging app, or rename it so its not functional when using another mms app.

If that's not the case. This might be one of the rare times, fixing permissions might actually help. I'm guessing you probably already tried pulling the battery and clearing cache and dalvik?

Otherwise, it might be a network thing and fix itself unless this has been going on for a long time.

I am still having issues with this release sending two messages to people. Anyone have any idea what's up?

no idea... its never happened to me. only prollem ive had with mms is sometime it sticks on "sending"... and ill have to toggle airplane mode or reboot to get it to send  luckily it happens very infrequently now,it was why i quit using cm7 a few versions ago

wiped dalvik and cache last night, ran fix permissions to no avail, Just wiped everything 3x and am going with a fresh install to see if that fixed my problem, if not i might be reverting to the previous build or switching back to the .233 radio.

how did it work out? did you try uninstalling adw if your using EX?

im about to flash mr2 cm7 and see whats better or worse  ill let yall know how it goes

i have wanted to find it also, but havent had any luck  there was a guy in the OMFGB thread that said he flashed slayhers kernel on it,but i asked a couple times and no one ever piped up where it was.

if you have just flahsed it,worm said in the how to thread that going bACK to recovery and wiping the caches will wipe out the kernel you just flashed. nother option would be to just flash the rom over again.

ive been on mr2 cm7 all day,and im less than thrilled. i was pleasantly surprised to see battery life is just as good as it was on mr1 cm7,so it must be the BG leak roms that eff it up ;) i lost data twice, and had to reboot casue none of the usual toggling brought it back

other than data disappearing,it ran fine. just dont expect miracles from mr2... cell signal was about the same,as are upload and download speeds. i think the data disapearance had somethin do do with wifi,so i may give it another day or 2 before going back to mr1.

ive got 12 hrs 46 minutes and 8% left  right on par with similar useage on mr1
