Hey, yup still got 3g, but since I moved its not usable, I dont have enough bars of signal, and it will switch betwen 3g and 1x.
I put the 3022 on today, I will give it a while before making any decision on it though. My Opinion is the 3022 shows the new towers in miami area, but since they have no new towers in jax its going to give me the same tower information as 3020, here for me.
And for you guys in SW and West coast since they dont have towers there yet your still out of luck.
I bet when they get new towers up they will push a new prl.
which will then have all the previous towers, from the 3020 and the 3022 and then add in the new for your area.
I'm noticing 3g in new areas. Right now I'm on the southside by the corporate store and I have four bars. I also noticed by the south 95 295 9A exchange, but it was only two bars max.

do it on different areas and lets see if thats a satandard, then it would mean that its capped!
i hate caps... its like metro is jerking you off by showing you the EVDO icon and then when you are ready to nutttttt they stop touching you leaving you blue balls (no offense to anyone).

Well I took a drive tonight for the hell of it. I got a few moments of 3g in South Clearwater all the way until halfway across the Bayside bridge heading north. Couldn't really pull over to do a speed test but hopefully this means rolling out in the Tampa area soon

confirmed 4 full bars of 3G in Westland Mall in Hialeah, FL at the MetroPCS kiosk. Got a new cover and screen protector, and the lady working the counter asked me how I got 3G on the Optimus. I personally didn't like the lady at the counter she was a PITA. But I just smiled and said Metro is upgrading slowly but surely.
I updated to prl 20 and now 22. I can confirm 3g in deltona pretty much everywhere I go. I do most of my work in orlando and also carry 3g 75% of the time. The only time its not on 3g i basically have no signal at all. I've picked up and held 3g everywhere from downtown orlando, east to west orlando, sparatic throughout sanford and as far as south orlando (nearing kissimmee). Everything seems to work fine on 3g although sometimes when the 3g has little signal it will drop back to 1x.
Tampa Fl, north and carrollwood, full evdo and cdma auto prl, 3g on phone but no incoming calls in lte onoff evdo mode, cdma auto prl has 3g and all calls. speeds are 190dn 180up, will try 3022 today.
