Details on Flashing CM7, Read this Handy Informations: Flashing Cyanogen Mod 7.1.0 in Samsung Galaxy Pop/Mini GTS5570.

update_bootxxx.zip file is for overclocking your phone for older CM7. Latest one doesn't have OC kernels.

Yes, without market android smartphone is just a nano ipod or even less. Just flash gapps and you will get all google products.

No, you can flash CWM recovery in your current GB (no need to go back to froyo) and then flash CM7 from the recovery.

I have clockworkmod recovery but when I try backup, it gives error as : "E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log". Please help me.

I have one more question. I have backed up all applications (user and system) including their data using Titanium Backup Pro. So After I flash cm7, all my apps will be gone. After I install Titanium Backup pro again since I have the apk file, will it show all my restore files, since I have the Titanium Backup folder on my sd card?

Yes it will show all your files after you install TB. make sure to have a TB Folder on sdcard though. It is always good to backup the folder to computer regularly.....

Just flashed this new updated CM7 (01102011).. It is awesome with spirit FM working great.. installed all my apps with Titanium backup and using link2sd for SD-ext partition.. everything is working smoothly.. My second issue is...
Wifi indicator shows full strength on the stock ROM (same phone model with stock ROM of my) all around my house, but with latest CM7 with FM, it drops a bar just 10 feet away from the router. When I'm outside in the backyard, the stock ROM shows just one less bar from full whereas CM7 show one bar at best.
I wouldn't much care, but the WiFi app almost never works outside for me on CM7, it constantly complains about the WiFi signal. Stock ROM doesn't have this issue.

Is there anything I can do to solve this may be any settings or any radio patch.. :thinking:

If you have Radio ON and Wifi ON the the signal are just fighting so i won't be OK, but it's what i think. Our Master of the CM7 is yagya

Now the OMX libs are included in the newest CM. Thos cifs and tun .zips are not flashable...

Well i have a flashable .zip for those modules just flash them and thse modules work

Nw those number are permission number you can read about those here : UNIX permissions

In earlier update in call voice as well as as ring tone voice used to be very loud but latest 09102011 update in my case have low caller voice and low ring tone voice . . . any way to increase caller and ring tone voice ????

Increase dB to 8 or 10dB --as you need-- in Settings>>CM7 Settings>>Sound>>Ringtone Volume

Hey netas..i flashed the CM7 ROm.....but how long it takes to reboot the phone...my phone's stuck on the black screen with written ANDROID frm mre than 10 mins...is there some problem wat shuld i do?
