Razr vs Rezound Wirefly Schmackdown

Surprise for the gent being a video guy he fell for the oversaturated colors on the Razr.

Absolutely agree.

haha agreed with above..but i'm so used to my amoled inc, think i'll be dissapoitned with less saturated colors by getting an LCD phone??

You might not be. FWIW, I went from an AMOLED DInc 1 to the SLCD DInc 2. I didn't like it at first, but now there is no comparison- the SLCD looks much better to me. Besides, I don't miss taking pictures that look one way on the phone, and completely different once sent to my computer. I was disappointed much more than once, and by the time I figured it out, it was too late.

I think the guy (Bob) is blind as a bat, since he had issues reading the Quadrant scores on the Rezound. He had the problem in both videos. Not sure how much of a reference he should be as a result- good or bad reviews ;) I did not have trouble and do not have 20/20.

Perhaps BAAB is too extreme..... I think he needs reading glasses :)

I don't know the vivid colors look good to me but I did notice they were a little too dialed up. I can't tell on that video though but I know when I looked at the video from my Thunderbolt sitting next to the Razr, the Thunderbolt definitely looked washed. Granted the Thunderbolt's resolution isn't even as good as the Razr's. Maybe I'll call in sick tomorrow and go to the Verizon store to get some "medicine".

The reviewer - bob kovacs - is really horrible at reviewing. Dude takes FOR EVER to spit out what he's trying to say. Just get on with it buddy. He seems and sounds older, and yeah the fact that he ran ONE freaking quadrant test and declared a winner from ONE test is testament enough to his reviewing skill. Also, he really needed to show the displays with more than one dark screen - show whites on the browser or something. Bottom line, any review he does is unbearably slow to watch and full of hole imho.

i can't watch the video at work, but, did he compare the processors? real curious how the 1.5 snapdragon compared to the 1.2 OMAP....

He really didn't. Based his opinion primarily on form factor, screen, camera and UI. While he did the quick quadrant test, that went to the Razr. Doubt it means much. I do wish he would have made a comparison of call quality, a little concerned about that.

And I doubt he's 'blind as a bat.' He likely had some sort of lighting set up that didn't allow for a good view from an angle, as he was looking at the screen at a pretty severe angle to stay off camera.
