I think those rapid fire pics are what reviewers are basing their camera comparisons on. Would explain why i and most others dont agree with their findings. Ive said it before, but zero shutter lag is only for when your short on time and need to snap a pic instantly without hesitation.

totally agree, although with my 5 month old, i will need that zero lag more often than not

I'm on my way back from seeing the almighty LTE G-nex! I took some photos as well.

Here's one with the proper apps disabled;

I think what should be noted also, is the fact that with the zero shutter lag, you really do need to be steady. You can snap quick shots that come out blurry, but others that come out quite brilliantly. its like waving a normal phone camera around and trying to take pictures.

Hi Guys,

Long time lurker figured I would join the discussion.

I also went to the Samsung store in New York this evening to get my hands on this phone. I was for the most part blown away.

First off: Who ever said this device feels a little cheap is flat out wrong. I loved the form factor and this is someone who is coming from a DX. It felt slick and very solid. The feel of the phone is a lot more comfortable then the razr or vigor.

The screen is incredible in video. However, the automatic screen brightness setting might need to be turned up as I thought it was a little dark on the dark default wallpaper the phone was set to in the store.

The ICS OS is awesome but definitely sports a bigger learning curve then past devices. The camera seemed very good when taken without no shutter lag.

The browser was extremely nice.

I ran into this guy in the store who was sporting a galaxy note and was taking pictures of the device. It turned out he was the senior editor for engadget. He rubbed me the wrong way when he sqirmed when my father asked to see his galaxy note.

HOLY CRAP!!
That.
Is.
AWESOME!
I'm TOTALLY getting one for my Husband! I had to drag him kicking and screaming into the 21st Century by getting him a DInc 2 (he does love it!). It'll go nicely with his retro phone ring ringtone.

Is it possible to complete uninstall the verizon apps and just disable them? Or is this only something you can do to root?

it will have to be done with root. the thing is tho, they take up a total of right about 2mb between them, and can be disabled so easily that going through a lot of trouble to remove them really doesnt achieve anything
