ICS Leak XXLPB, XXLPH

Dears,
I'm still unable to fix GPS.

The 1st time I use it, GPS icon blinks, then remains black.

Still black from 2nd use, no lock at all.

Tried all GPS test softwares in the Market, resetted AGPS a lot of time, nothing to do.

I tried to install the old GPSfix, no changes.

I tried to install this LP6 module, no more GPS at all.

What to do ?

Can anybody help?

Thanks a lot!

I used this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420996[/URL]

It dates back to the 31st Dec 2011 when ICS was first leaked BUT everything you need is in the very first post as it has been updated.

The description also relates to the file names in the download so evrything is easy.

(Just for info, I flashed from Gingerbread to ICS (LPH), using the above XDA files).

I did use the PIT file that was shown as optional, and all went to plan.

I was running the LPB (still laugh at that thinking back to gaming days when that was a "Low Ping Bast...." while many of us still had dial-up). I like it well enough, only real problem was that update notice, fixed that by disabling the software update app. Recently updated my daughter and I to LPH and working just the same to me. Newer Swype version with orange trails instead of blue.

Still looking to see if the author of aLapRecorder HD gets it updated for 4.0 before the race season, if not I may roll back to 2.3.5 for a while or by another phone that supports 1080 video record and multiple Bluetooth pairing.

Anyway, daughter says LPH is running better and more stable that the 2.3.6 build she had before.

Ah dang. I don't have TP, my contacts are backed up @ Google and I'm not sure I'll get all my 'paid' apps back...

Will any of these firmware updates be 'non wipe'?

Are you rooted? You can use CWM to backup and restore. Thats what I have been using because Titanium has been acting up on restore for all the leaked ICS builds I've tried so far.

Hoping someone can help??

I've entered the Vodafone UK APN data manually (various settings including those shown on this site and as quoted by Vodaphone themselves) . I have no data connection after the upgrade; and I have checked that the green APN box has been ticked and I have switched data on and off several times as well as resetting the phone and having to download all of my apps etc twice!

Still no data signal either 3g or edge etc.

I see that some others have resolved but this - maybe i have missed something??

Many thanks in anticipation.

Can anyone help me with Libskia.so and Libwebcore.so?
I would like to make my phone to be able to rendering complex glyph unicode. Right now Unicode is not rendering correctly with this firmware by default. I've tried using the AOSP but it made my phone stuck in boot screen many times.

Is there a possible way to enable complex rendering?

hi im from usa, tmobile. im on 2.3.4 gingerbread. anyone has an idea when we can update for ICS? i checked the update from my phone and says no update available. and kies same thing no latest firmware. do we have any chance to try the ICS?

Ics is due to be officially released at the beginning of next month. The only way to try it at the moment is to flash a leaked version using Odin.

Do you have the international version or the Tmobile variant? If its the Tmobile you want this forum.

i have the international version which is GT-I19100. my phone is not rooted, everything is default. so should i just wait for the official release of ICS like in a couple of months? i dont mind waiting, coz i dont know about rooted.

You don't have to root to flash ics firmware. Its kind of hard to say if you should wait, official releases should start coming next month but some carriers will take a while longer. So if Tmobile release it quite soon then yeah its probably worth the wait but if they wait 4 or 5 months before releasing its probably worth flashing it yourself.
