Root On .621 Rooted, Can I Flash a ROM?

So I am at .621 rooted and was looking at trying out a ROM but I don't see any ROMs for .621 in the ROMs section. I know SBF'ing back to a previous version (.602, .605) from .621 will brick the phone but will using a .605 ROM have any adverse effects?

I have never used a ROM before, have no idea which one to use or how to use it. I went ahead and downloaded ROM Toolbox and ROM Manager Pro but wanted to make sure I won't brick trying one of the ROMs in the ROM Manager.

Can someone point me to a thread/site that details how to Flash a ROM and suggest a good ROM for a newb where most things are working and won't require additional flashing of components. I gotta learn to crawl before I can fly.

Thanks,

i would not recommend you try that clinster, as its based off a different version, and different bootloader, it could brick your device (obviously) and you will be unable to keep root, because you would need to SBF the device, unless there is a way to move rootkeeper to sdcard, and whatever it does to sd card, remove the card, sbf it, then put it back in might keep root, but im not %100 sure of that, and i do not suggest trying it with your phone

+1 your best hope is with the devs.

im also beginning to think a new carrier might be on my horizon, like when my contract for the gnex comes up, i may switch to something else. though it will suck that i give up vzw, but the bill and the locked up phones im not happy about. but there isnt much choice.

sprint = not many great devices, and horrible cs
at&t = horrible network (at my location) but great cs
verizon = great network, great cs, locked devices, and may not carry another nexus device... hope that is wrong
t-mobile = dont know much about. lol
uscellular = not many good android phones.

vs, tmobile up here is awful the cs is sketchy from one store to the next, and the coverage is the worst of all the carriers here.
i had a coworker on tmob and it was just like watching that stupid commercial where the guy was mad his coworkers were having tacos without him, yup, delayed messages, by sometimes a day were a common occurance with them.

well your clear across the US from where i am (VA) several of my buds have t-mobile and say they have no issues with it, but unfortunately VZW is ruling the states right now with their coverage being everywhere, so its kind of a monopoly for vzw as they do not fear losing customers, just because their service is all over the place :(

i dont see competition on the horizon

I had tmobile and hated it, I went through 3 mytouches and one G2 and i just felt their network was pretty awful. None of them could upload a youtube video for shit on their "4g". Then i went to verizon and got The Incredible and that was an amazing phone and on such a superior network compared to tmobile. That was over a year ago though so maybe things have gotten better.

Someone tell Fabolous to get on a .621 APEX! :)

Would love to see Liberty there as well :)

Hate to hijack a thread, but hopefully we can encourage a lot of people to get on Carrier Coverage. It is interesting (at least for me) to see VZW as #2 where I work (second to TMobile) and #4 where I live (Sprint, TMobile, AT&T).

My sister in law has TMobile and has no problems in my house, where I have to go to certain rooms to get a VZW signal.

I had that installed for a week or so, it seemed to me my battery life was real poopy and after i uninstalled it, my battery life went back to normal. it could be coincidence, but i don't think so. JMHO
