I'm looking around the forums and have seen a lot of different/conflicting information on ICE - In Case of Emergency applications/services.

I just got my Galaxy S3 recently, and want to get an "In Case of Emergency" app that I can use to store critical contact/personal information" and can be accessible from the stock TouchWiz lock screen on my S3.

Up until now I have simply had a contact entry named "In Case of Emergency" but I realize that does nothing if my phone is secured with any sort of password.

Does anyone have any suggestions on free-apps that can do this, or any built in functionality with Ice Cream Sandwich - TouchWiz.

FYI I am on Verizon if that makes a difference.

Thanks

From home screen, tap on Contacts
Then tap on Groups
Then tap on ICE - emergency contacts
Then tap on the icon with the head in the grey bar
Then tap on Select contact
select your ICE contacts then press Done in the upper right
You have created your ICE list
Now when someone finds your phone and turns it on and it is locked, they will have to intuitively know to press the Emergency Call icon on the lock screen, and then press the red + button on the bottom left of the screen to see your ICE list
