Hi sir Gabe... I installed the V3, its great... but seems like i can't see some apps, like the market(google play), maps, facebook,? any suggestions sir?

same here, no google maps, places and wisepilot; but there is a google play, the prob is when i go to google play and search for google maps app, it cant find it; and when i try to download it via PC, it says not available for your device's country. but when i install the stock eclair 2.1 update 1, it has the built-in google map.

Hello, first of all thanks for the great ROM (GingerXperia REVOLUTION V3).

Tell me please, does this ROM GingerXperia REVOLUTION V3 works as well with the nAa kernel ?
especially this one : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1576002

And if it does work, do I have to reinstall the ROM if I flash this nAa kernel ?

If "no" for all above, same question about nAa11 kernel...

Hi,

This version of GingerXperia REVOLUTION V3 only works with STOCK Kernel
You have to download GingerXperia REVOLUTION V4 for nAn11 Kernel

You need to unlock your bootloader to flash the aAn11 Kernal
Of course there is the usual "Risk of Bricking your phone"

cheers :)

Hye There Gabe,I'm new to this Rom stuff..Anyway after I succesfully root my phone and installed busybox and also Xrecovery...I finally got to use the Rom called GingerXperia Revolution V3..I was happy..but I want to try out the GingerXperia Revolution v2 this time..So I have 3 question..
1-How Do I installed this Rom if I already Have another Custom rom? Do I have to return to the stock eclair 2.1.1 and installed it?
2-what is the list of changelog for V2?
3-A bit out of topic..if I wanna flash new rom..and don't wanna lose all my app and msg..what app should I used? does Titanium Backup..backup everything? and how does it work?

I would appreciate if you reply to my question immedieatly...Thanks In Advance..please reply quickly Gabe..

Hi,

If you wanna try some other rom just do a factory wipe and cache wipe before you install the new custom rom.

Xperiafan has been ban from XDA website for a while now so unable to get the changelog.

When you flash a new custom rom everything is gone (including your apps) unless you can restore from a backup.

Hope that helps...

cheers :)

hi gabeyong, as i surf the net, i noticed all the other x8 using custom roms have kernel serial numbers,. mine does not have any? i wonder what kernel can you suggest to me,

im using your v23 update.. cyanogenmod

I am guessing you are running Stock Kernel.
If you are happy with Gingerbread you don't have to change.

If you want to run a custom kernel you have to unlock your phone's bootloader and flash a specific custom kernel to run specific custom rom.

cheers :)
