The Case Thread post your case finds here!

The bag I linked to back in post #405 was UPS delivered as I was leaving for work today. I opened it up and tossed my Nexus 7 in it along with the charger, some speakers and even a pair of headphones. Still had plenty of room for many more goodies. The bag still fit in my backpack along with my lunchbox too. This thing is way cool! Looks pretty high quality. I'm really happy for what I paid.

This post got me thinking about gear bags, so I started a thread devoted to them: http://androidforums.com/nexus-7/603244-gear-bag-thread-post-your-gear-bag-finds-here.html

Throw yours over there if you would, it looks cool too!

I just received my case from ebay. Its only a cheap one, with a free stylus and screen protector. One thing it does is switch off the tablet when I close the lid and on when i open it, without the need to touch the hard switch at all, via a magnet I'm guessing?
Does anyone else have this type and is there any risk to the tablet having this magnet toggle the screen on and off?
Cheers.

Lots of people in this thread had been buying this style of case. It won't hurt the tablet - it's designed to do it that way. Yep, it's through a magnetic sensor.

So while I like the moko, it is doing a number on my screen protector. The stitching is being pressed into it pretty severely. Makes me wonder if it might eventually scratch a non-protected screen.

I got the MoKo, and the padding under the clips is coming off, leaving residue under the screen. I think I'm sending it back.

I may end up going with a sleeve to carry it around. Seems like a case just detracts from the simple beauty of the Nexus design.

I enjoy it a lot more than the leather ones and others around. They make the device too bulky... I'm not worried about the $$$.

I saw this and really like it. Doesn't have a magnet though, does it? I'm not sure that would be a game stopper for me. I want something as thin as possible. This MoKo case seems to be falling apart on me.

This case works very good. I got the Nexus case when I preordered the Nexus. I like the thinness of that one but wanted the smart cover feature. This Supcase is thin not bulky at all and has the smart cover so I wont wear out the on/off button.

I'm using the supcase and I agree with you, definitely not bulky at all. I ordered mine from ebay in sapphire blue. No regrets!

I've looked at that one a few times. Does it interfere with touches near the edge of the screen or the soft buttons?

The only time I had a problem was pulling down the notification bar. And that happened just a few times when I first got it. Good question. Had forgot about that!

True its no problem once you get used to it. I also use Novalauncher and have it set so a long press on the home button brings down the notification bar so no dragging down.
