lol I bought beautiful widgets and downloaded a sense rom then extracted the icons from the widget apk's to make my own sense skin. It would look 100% identical if the sun or weather icons were moved up about 50 pixels or so where the sense 4 clock weather icons are. I spent hours in gimp making this thing pixel perfect as far as the clock goes and the weather. Took some editing but finally made it. I can share the skin if its ok with htc since its using graphics directly from their apk's

I also extracted the desktop paper and the bottom dock from the sense 4 rom as well and UOT for theming

I don't mind sense, I just wish they gave the consumer the choice to choose. I like how ICS manage the recent apps compare to how sense does it. With ICS I don't see a reason to overskin and change the way things are done if it is not going to make sense. (no point intended). Just saying if the change is not for a better way of handling the OS, why change it?. The OEM's need to do it like ASUS, they barely change ICS on their device.

Since Sense is exclusive to HTC, moved it to the HTC forum where it shall live happily ever after with it's HTC brethren posts. :)

On Topic: I'm not sure my conclusion about sense yet. It does have many useful features so far, and it doesn't seem to be bogging down the phone like on other HTC devices I've own.

I can take it or leave it. I used it for a bit on my Desire HD, then switched to an AOSP ROM using ADW Ex. I'd occasionally go back to Sense ROMs, but I'd always end up using another launcher/going back to Cyanogen.

When I got the One X, again, I used Sense for a bit, now I'm using Apex Launcher Pro. The only thing stopping me from going to an AOSP ROM this time round is the fact I'd lose the HTC Camera.

The camera is the biggest reason I am not running AOSP as well. I am running Nova Launcher on my One S, but I can't leave the camera.

I love MOST of Sense. But it needs more customization options. I'd be ecstatic if 5.0 were designed to be customizable. Like the camera? Download it. Like the keyboard? Download it. Hate the app drawer? Delete it.

If Android 5.0 and Sense 5.0 come out at the same time, about the time I get my next phone, this is how it should be... and without Verizon's bloatware. French Vanilla with your choice of toppings.

So do you love sense or hate it? Or just meh..

I personally think its friggin AWESOME

Just to be clear, since different devices have different versions, which version of the Sense UI would you like us to vote on?

My first experience with Android was the original EVO 4G, and I thought the widgets, interface, look and feel were great for my needs. I never felt the need to root, although I did try a few different launcher, I returned to Sense.

Last Friday, I upgraded to the EVO 4G LTE and Sense is even better, I love the speed and smoothness. Also the widgets are great. The only thing I miss is the battery indicator widget.

I personally can't stand it. For me, I don't like or see a need for these companies to screw things up with their crappy skins and UI's.

I like the ICS look and use it on my Atrix HD, on my One X I use a thrid party. Sense to me kills performance and isn;t useful at all.

I usually root and run everything custom anyway, but that's my opinion on the subject.

I have Sence 3.6 on my evo v 4g and I love everything about it. Love the lock screen, lower menu bar, notification bar, calendar and all. But most of all I love the Sence music app... It's way better then Google's. Lag? I've never had a problem with lag ever. I'm sure that may very depending on version and what phone.
