"rooting" is gaining administrative access to your phone's file system. If you don't know what it is, then I doubt your phone is rooted.
Can your phone to connect to other wifi networks other than your home network?

Yes.. i can connect other wifi, but not my wifi.. because i was foget in my wifi..

If you "forgot" your wifi network, just go to menu>settings>wireless & networks>wifi setting and you should see your home network listed. Tap on that and choose "connect to this network." If yu are saying you forgot the security passphrase for your network, you will have to log into your router and change it to something new and then use the new passphrase to log on.

my problem is, my phone cannot scan my wifi. but other wifi i can connect..

no wifi but others. I used to add wi-fi network but there is no any change .. and I used to format data factory reset. useless also ..
my phone sony ericson xperia ray.. not root.
