Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

Do any of the tweaks you do to the rom rely on the Voltage app or Boat Browser being in the package? Just curious because I usually remove them before installing at all because I don't use them. Never had a problem with it before, but I don't know if anything has changed with 3.75.

It can be a few isolated people with a problem, but it can be anything like the wipe was not good or something to make it mess up. Today on a spare phone I tested something for someone and then tried to get back to the way the phone was before and wired had to use odin 3 times and flashed backup 4 times and now all is perfect again, figure that out??? Each time it just wasn't right???

nah. pretty much any app with a icon in the drawer other than phone, contacts and settings can be removed or replaced if you really want to.

the problem he had was a actual bug related to googles apps. I was able to make my phone do it.

wow that is weird. I guess its just the way technology is. Maybe one day things will be smart enough to diagnose and patch things themselves. But untill that day, there will always be bumps in the road...

the new play store doesn't show up till you log into google btw.

As you described, that was also happen when I flashed 3.75 and then I did the partitioning which worked also fine... no problems.... but since then, I can't open SDParter..... I get a Force Close on it every time !!!

it seems to me that maybe some people have different versions or types of hardware that give all these different outcomes with certain mods, tweaks or overclocking. phone companys do make changes to their phones through out the time of their lives. after all, these phones where built the way they are, and tested they way they are, for their software. not for our software or changes.

Sometimes altering from stock could be great and other times have some problems!!! But is a chance we all take!!!

DONE! Flashed and, so far so good! phone is snappy! logged into my google account, loaded up playstore, downloaded gmail and youtube. seems fast!

Version 3.75.2 Final release for real this time
All known bugs should be taken care of now
Includes all previous fixes and updates for 3.75
Reverted most of the build.prop back to the way it was in 3.68 to fix some lag
Updated all gapp files to solve a bunch of problems (the new Play Store won't show up till you sign into your account in settings)
YouTube and all other google apps should be fully working now when you install them
From now on If you need Talk or Genie Widget use the apk's from here: Goo.im - gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip

Sorry about having to do a new rom again guys but everything should be fixed now.

edit: all 3.75 themes will still work.

When installing the update, do I have to do a full wipe? Is there a step by step somewhere telling how to install properly?

The install does all the required wiping automatically, but yes, it wipes everything.

You just put it on your sdcard and flash it, that's it.

Are you talking about the orange voice mail icon? If so that's not a app, that's just a shortcut built into the stock launcher.

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Bloodawn,

SOOOOO cool !!! Was the quickest ROM update and restore I ever done !! Phone has absolutely no lags ( never had a big lag anyway ) and everything works great !!

What I did :

1. Made with Kouma's ( cough, cough, cough ) new, secret, still in the works, Odin Repacker a Backup ( Now also backs up sdext )
2. Copied CT3.75.2 and the flashable "sdext backup zip" to the SD-Card
3. Flashed the ROM, booted up, checked my partitions ( all were still as they were before, FAT / ext4 /ext4 / swap ), changed to DATA, signed into Google account, checked Play Store )
4. Rebooted into recovery
5. Formatted sdext
6. Immediately flashed the sdext backup zip
7. Rebooted and WOW............. ALL WORKS SUPER !!!!!!! The whole process took like less than 10 minutes !!!

Big T H A N K S to you Bloodawn and of course to Kouma as well......

I guess, I can go to bed as a happy camper today......

Well, my guess is, since everything seems to work perfect, it shouldn't be too long...... He said he wants to make some cosmetic changes..... ( LOL ....and heyyyyy, we don't ask about release dates.... Grinnzzzzz )
