Root [Sprint/Cricket] Any need to backup "cache" and "recovery" in TWRP?

When making nandroid backups in TWRP, I usually go with the default (first 3) options that are checked already (I think system, data, and something else). There's two more options, "cache" and "recovery". I assume that I'll never need to back those up, but can anyone tell me exactly what they are there for?

I would think "recovery" mean backing up TWRP itself, but not sure. If so don't see a point in that.

And "cache" referring to cached data, but again not sure if we would every need to restore that as well.

I used to know what those meant when I used AMON RA on the EVO but forgot since it was so long ago. Since they're not checked, I'm assuming it's not necessary. I don't know how a recovery can restore itself when you need the custom recovery to even restore a nandroid in the first place. And as for the cache, when you backup a nand it backs up everything and the same goes for restore. So, I don't really know, lol.

If I'm wrong, PLEASE [constructively] correct me. :)

Cache builds dynamically, typically you want to clear it (along with the Dalvik cache) during any reflash or at the sign of any trouble.

Backing up cache and recovery are basically things you don't want to do.

Thanks for the clarification! I usually wipe cache/dalvik even when I do a nand restore just in case, lol.
