Could you ask for more

what is it with people wanting large screens. Phones are used to make calls and sms period. All other features are extra and not mandatory to have a functional device. For me the motion's screen is just fine. I'm able to read everything just fine and clearly. All apps work well with it's small screen.

Many people have more use for their phones than calling and texting. These are smart phones after all... If all someone needs is calls and texts they'd still be using feature phones.

Yeah with the spirit you got both but is 1 inch worth 200

Nope, but it dang sure IS worth the *$20* difference between the price of MY Motion and a Spirit w/rebate from Wirefly... :D

Motions are still going for $100 on The Bay now, even used. (They are That decent of a phone.)

But a used Motion for $100 or a New 1" More Motion for $70 more?...

You tell me...

+1 on the best Metro phone I've ever had, and I've had four of 'em now.

Screen size is a bit of give and take. Hey folks, I'm a greybeard, eyes ain't all they once was! I've got a larger phone for work... but I'm still using my Motion for most things. That could be familiarity, or it could be the screen on the ATT while contrasty is a sort of yellowish tint that makes it harder to read.

I've used the Galaxy S3 and it's much more preferable to me, but then again I understand not everyone desires a large screen. For me, I'd prefer this-

  • Slide out keyboard (or bigger screen)
  • Led (I hate having to turn my screen on to check alerts)
  • Unlocked bootloader
  • Much better camera (LG Motion tends to have a yellow tinted camera. I would even prefer a better camera than the S3 has for low light pictures.)
  • Better audio speakers
Granted though, this is me being very picky. Overall, I'd say it's a great phone for its price.

IMHO, I would say that the LG Motion actually has one strong advantage over the S3- all buttons are non-physical. It's really weird (unergonomic) that Samsung made the home button physical, and the menu+back non-physical.
