Root wire trick question

When using wires, twist the strands together, don't use a single strand. When you insert the strand into the hole, you're trying to touch a metal "dot" in the hole and the sd card holder at the same time and at the right moment, and since the strand is so thin, it would be very easy to miss contact with the metal dot in the hole. When you twist the strands together, then one of them is bound to touch the dot and SD card at the same time or at least transmit the "signal" to a different strand that is touching the SD card holder.

Ok cool..thats what I thought just makin sure,Its thick wire so i might have to make it a lil smaller

Good idea, make sure you have a wire that will fit in the little outer hole. During the process, do not disconnect your phone from the computer or you will brick the device. If you fail it, just close controlbear, then open it again and try it again. remember, tap, count 1-one-thousand, then tap again and hold it for about 8 seconds.

im stuck on the juopunutbear screen..should i just keep trying or is there a command to get my device back?if anyone could help i would definately appreciate it

Keep trying until you gain S-off. Like I said, don't panic and pull the usb cable from your computer or you will brick your phone.

Tap once, wait 1 second, tap again and hold for about 8 seconds. Then wait for controlbear to tell you wether you have gained S-off or need to do it again.

I never had the Triumph lol My first smart droid was the Kyocera Hydro.

If your phone shut off during the process and controlbear doesn't detect it, I guess the only way is to unplug it, then see if you can turn it back on.

I hope you didn't just brick the phone, I've done S-off wire tricks a few times. Phone never shut off during the process, it would reboots a few times between going into bootloader, controlbear mode, and RUU mode.

Actually, you can unplug the phone while it's attempting to do the wire trick. The only reason I know is because I did it lol. The thing not to panic about is that when you turn on your phone, it won't work. You'll just have to continue the process by replugging it in and doing the whole process. It didn't work with my desktop, so I unplugged my phone and used it on my laptop, which has Windows 7 compared to Vista on the desktop, and it worked after maybe the second try.

I came from the triumph to this phone to. I used a paper clip and electric tape to do it. I finally got it on my 5th try cause i made up a lil pattern in my head. Just tap say two words tap that's what i did. And i was stuck on the control bear screen for a day and night so i finally walked up to McDonalds with my triumph got on the internet looked for answers still didn't get it and actually had to make up my own fix which i used cmd and control bear to get it off the jupobear screen (hopefully we talking about the same thing)

That's cool seeing what people have used,I finally did it this morning with a paper clip but still stuck on the juopunutbear screen and keeps rebooting..should I try some of them commands on the troubleshooting page or will mess something up

Did you successfully get S-OFF? And you should try the commands they helped me when I had a similar problem.
