MMS in Messages

I'm trying to figure out a few things.

When somebody tries to send me a pic through a text message, the message comes through as an MMS and shows a play arrow. When I click on it, it doesn't do anything. I've tried to go through my settings and I can't find anything. Anybody know what the dealio is?

Also, I can't get a contact card. It shows the same thing and when I try to open it up, it's just blank.

Help!

I have experienced the same thing. For photos the best application I can say to use is GoSMS Pro, for the contact card you have to hit the arrow to the 3rd or 4th screen on your stock text app to get the actual VCF info you can import. Hope this helps.

I to was having this issue and the only cure was to download a different sms/mms app from the play store google market. I have found that GOsms does not play nice with others apps so I deleted it. I found that Handscent wants to take over everything, So I deleted it . I am using presently using CHOMP, it is a smaller size app that does just enough. So far I havent expirienced any issues with it.
