Root Learning as I go

Alright, I've posted a few questions on XDA to no avail, so I figure I would post here. Many thanks to Shabby and the rest of the folks who managed to get this phone rooted! It's really unfortunate that there are some folks out there who are demanding and unappreciative of the voluntary work you do (yes, I've read that discussion thread). There are some of us who are very appreciative and would like to give back and help.

Anyway, I'm pretty new to cooking up Android, but have done some of my own tinkering with older hardware running newer stuff (ie Nook Color running CM10.1). It's a goal of mine to see at least ICS on the Illusion. It's capable.

There's a bit of a grey area when it comes to learning how to cook Android online. Yes, we can root the phone, and yes we can figure out how to make our own custom ROMs. However, getting CWM on there is a different beast entirely, and that's where I am stuck.

I used the recovery builder at builder.clockworkmod.com after pulling a boot.img off the phone. I haven't quite gotten to the point of seeing if it even works, but I thought I would share it here and get some feedback and advice from those who are more experienced at this process.

How can we get CWM ported to this phone? I hope I've taken the appropriate steps in the right direction. Building CWM doesn't appear to be explained very well, at least from what I've looked for. Any advice would be great.

Thanks!
