*sighs* Another crappy day. And it started early too. Let's see, where do I begin? On the way to work by bus this morning, I got double-charged for a single weekly pass ($24 each).

When I arrived at my job, my computer kept lagging and freezing, so I had to borrow someone else's at their cubicle. Couldn't get any lunch due to a major downpour that stopped just after my break ended. Did I mention that I forgot my umbrella? Then it started raining again after leaving work, having to walk in the rain to the bus stop.

Then I found out the buses are running about 30 minutes to an hour late. Somehow, I got bird crap or something on my shirt and backpack and had to wipe it off. And now as I'm typing this, I'm finally on the second bus on the way home.

sorry to hear all that,

I actually used to quite like Taco Bell - my 'favourite' (=disliked the least) fast food. That was about 20 years ago, though, well before all the recent stories about their 'meat' etc etc .. not so sure I'd go for it now. Probably still tastes as good, though.

They did have an outlet just off Leicester Square, right opposite Planet Hollywood. Not sure if either of them are there anymore.

Yeh, I think Taco Bell does have a very small presence in London, Plenty of American tourists there. Although I believe things haven't been going too well for them.
BBC News - Horsemeat scandal: Four new products test positive
Taco Bell has three outlets in Britain and says all its affected stock has been removed. The products had come from a supplier in Europe, the company said.
A spokesman for Taco Bell said: "Once we learned of this issue, we immediately voluntarily tested our product for our three Taco Bell restaurants in the UK.

Probably because Britain doesn't usually eat horse. ;)
Although much more likely because Mexican cuisine is a hard sell outside of the United States or Mexico. On the other hand Yum! Brands other products, KFC and Pizza Hut are hugely successful internationally.

Don't know why - it's good eatin' :vroam:

More a fashion thing, I think: Mexican / TexMex was super popular back in the 90s and early noughties but it seems kinda pass

We have a few Taco Bells here in Sydney, and there are quite a few Mexican restaurants scattered about the suburbs. In the last thirty years Australians have become much more adventuresome in matters culinary...

...we even have a number of Seth Efrican butchers selling all your typical Seth Efrican dried meats!

Not been to Sydney since 2000, but the food was excellent back then. There was a big fusion thing going on at the time. Here in London, the Ledbury - which is in the top 20 in the world - has an Aussie chef. Been there once and really liked it but I've never managed to get a table since .. :(

Don't know what I did ;)

I witnessed this this morning .... do animals really have sense because if they do, why do they run out in the middle of the street when they clearly see cars coming

Many of them are too focused on where they're going for their own good, in a world where, evolution-wise, cars have been around for a lot shorter a time than the trees or other animals they're focused on. ;)

Yap. But it takes up so much of my time.

It's your job right now! It should take most of your time... and believe me you will probably look back one day and wish you were back in college!!! It flies by so quickly..:)

so for now..suck it up... buckle down.. keep doing what you are doing ...and keep your eye on the prize!!! ;):D

This conversation is making me feel badly. I've given many of you avatars, modified some for you, and even given some of you nicknames by which you're now commonly called.

I think I've even fathered some of you.

So, where's my avatar? Conditions: must have a fedora, must not be smoking, must be male, must not have a beard or mustache.
