ISSUES!!! Home key button moves! Spen isnt easy to take out!

Sorry to get somewhat off topic but: Archon810 posted a .gif that showed the button moving. I can view the gif moving when using my iPhone to view this forum, but on my Note 3 the image is still it doesn't move!!!! Any ideas why?

I see movement but I'm not sure what the problem is because it's not that clear in the animation. I'm using Boat Browser.

At first I couldn't see it either- I think it was due largely to not being sure what I was looking so hard for.
Once I stopped staring like money was going to appear under the home button is when I saw what seems to be a little too much play in there.

Now before anyone starts screaming "you had to look hard to see it"...I'll say now; SO! It's a .gif- I don't have the phone in my hand.

And if I did have the phone, and if it did have this "issue", I wouldn't like it either. It wouldn't matter to me whether I paid full price or got it on contract.

EVERY Samsung phone I've had beginning with the S2 has been flawless.

It makes NO sense that Samsung would design the white GN'3 with absolutely NO wiggle and the black with!
So NO, I don't/cant think for one minute this was done intentionally.

What I can believe is this is going to be a large scale issue of epic proportions because no one likes loose home buttons.

Just sit back and watch the fallout.

popcorn anyone?

Lol that gif isn't an exaggeration so don't go saying every single button is meant to be like that obviously some less severe than others. That wiggle room is totally unacceptable for any device. It spends most of its time resting in a crooked position, who would want that? I think you are refusing to accept Samsung is indeed fallible.

Ease up on the assumptions, there's no manufacturer that is perfect. I can pick apart any product, but there's a limit. I'm simply saying many people here are freaking out over nothing. The button is not going to fall off as some have said, nor does this topic mean Samsung blew it like others have claimed. This topic has been greatly exaggerated and I was just trying to bring in some common sense and reason.

Instead of posting all over the internet as one user is doing to ramp up the drama, just buy something else. That's what Apple fanboys say if someone doesn't like the phone they're emotionally attached to.

I'm not married to any brand. I am a multiplatform user.

It's obvious that others are bent on bashing Samsung....

It's obvious it's a quality control problem that's all people have said , they have every right to be mad at samsung for letting them down and it's not being exaggerated. Anything else you would normally buy for example, a TV or laptop if it had weird flimsy buttons or chips in it you'd want it replaced or refunded. Grow a spine and don't accept manufacturing defects. You pay for a device and expect it to have no chips or flimsy buttons. If this were any other company people would be just as disappointed with such company. It has nothing to do with hating on samsung.

@Zen - How do you know it's not going to fall out?

I didn't expect the charging port to disconnect from the HTC Evo 3x's but it did.
And guess who paid the price for that..... the customer!

Did I continue to buy HTC- NO!

If your phone is super fantastic then that's great but don't expect those who aren't happy to be just because you are.

Is this being over exaggerated - NONE of us know that yet.

Should I return my phone for having a chip in the chrome edges? I don't want to knit pick but I can feel it when running finger past it.
My black one has a tiny chip in the chrome edges to but the last time i went to the tmobile store for my 3rd exchange cause the surrounding of the camera had flaws the manager said to open the box and make sure this is the right one i wanted and i looked at and everything seemed fine till 2days later when i put the phone under a lamp and noticed a chip in the chrome so if i go back to exchange i doubt they will give me another since i said this one was fine probably will have to go to a different tmobile store but i just said screw it cause im sure even if i get it in white everyone has a flaw u just gotta put the phone underneath a bright light.

Update: Spoke to tmobile and they said if im exchanging it from the black to white there will be a $50 restocking fee so no thanks.Mbrady92 did they charge u a $50 restocking fee for exchanging from the black to white?

my home button was doing the same and o2 said they would replace it as i had had it less than 14 days however they will only do it once, as i had already set it up i got in touch with Samsung about it and they said get it exchanged because if it breaks in X amount of months it could be classed as domestic damage and the warranty wouldnt cover it

i got o2 to change it and now my home button is slanted but it doesnt move, at least when it moved i could push it back so it was straight but i guess i am going to have to put up with it, s pen seems fine but i rarely use it

i am currently waiting on screen protectors so i can use it properly but when i look inside the rear facing camera its as if there is something in there that moves, it could possibly be light reflecting as its the same on my note 2, i cant take any pictures to check quality as it still has the screen protector on that came with it that you cant see through it

I don't know. Besides I've got bigger problems now. I should have listened to the haters, they're right about Samsung.

All I did was pickup my new Note 3 off my desk to make a call when the display glass cracked, the cheap plastic battery door fell off, and the battery hit the ground. A few days old and it's trash. Oh well live and learn.

Wow this thread us crazy. I just got mine a couple days ago but put a tech 21 case on it seconds after I opened the box. I have a black one with none of the issues described here. If I did I wouldn't hesitate to take it back. $700 is way too much to pay for loose buttons scratches and cracks.
What carrier are you with? and take the case off put the phone under a bright light and take a really good look cause i didnt notice flaws till i did that cant really notice these things in the tmobile store.

Yeah, after reading this thread that's exactly what I did. Got out my CREE torch and went over every inch. I got nothing. The plastic isn't perfect but the anomalies I see are nothing more than what I would consider normal variations for a product made with this type of material . To be honest, looking at that gif, my home button doesn't even really look like that. I thought I had a different phone or something at first. Pre has my phone has the nicks and dings described in this thread and I'm overlooking them somehow. My I can't imagine my home button being any tighter though.

I feel bad that you all are having issues. I think I'm just going to keep using my Note 2 cause you all are scaring me.

I see this with almost every new product release that I wait on. Although this thread is getting long you have to consider the folks in it to be a small minority. People that are dissatisfied or get lemons are far more vocal on forums such as this one. Fact of the matter is there are many times the amount of satisfied owners with no problems. That's not to say you should not consider the issues presented here but take them with a grain of salt. (If that's even the right saying)

Ditto. I was planning on saving for it in a few months, but I think I'll wait until they get their act together in QA.

Hello I'm not getting it yet either!

Another Update:

I saw 2 white note 3s today one from samsung store another at tmobile and the home key button is solid must be just the black ones cause every black one i saw today at tmobile stores and a samsung store the home key button can be slightly tilted left to right so im just gonna stick with the one i have cause if i get another its gonna be the same deal or i can swap to a white one but thing is with that tmobile said its gonna be a $50 restocking fee plus i dont like white. So bottom line just gotta deal with it and really doubt its gonna end up coming out and i dont wanna go through adjusting all my settings etc etc on the phone again. Funny thing is even the workers at the samsung store were shocked and didnt even know that till i showed them smh.
